Holy smokes! In a way, that actually sounds a bit like our rottweiler, Heidi; she absolutely ADORES most people, and all she really wants is her rear scratched 24/7.^^ So, most of the time, she's a sweetheart. But possums? Pffft -- fuggedahbouddit! She's already killed, if I remember correctly, three and a half of them, pretty much mutilating the three and then the half...eh, don't ask. Too long of a story. ^^; Some years back, I picked up an alligator Beanie Baby (back when those were still ultra popular), and I loved it quite muchly. Its scales were mint green -- VERY velvety to the touch -- and it had pretty, sorta reflective golden eyes. It was perfect for cuddling -- and, of course, it's now lost somewhere in my stinkin' house. *gets nightmarish image of her Beanie Baby sitting alongside one of the discarded Furbies in the garage* ; ~Light Rises

Disney never did really have a lot of smarts when it comes to picking which characters will be popular and sell well. It took FOREVER for them to really put out any Stitch merchandise, especially for adults, and compared to what's available in Japan, even that is very limited in North America and Europe. They really missed the boat when it came to Randall merchandise, though. I mean, who'd a thought that this big, bad REPTILIAN "villain" would EVER be popular, huh? pitbulllady That's VERY interesting, because from what I've heard, the huge merchandise campaign for M.I. when it was released in theaters bombed pretty badly. It makes one wonder if this was partly due to the fact that Disney was (and is) pushing certain characters which haven't caught the public imagination as much as the company had hoped, while another, potentially commericially successful character was left in the dust... ~Light Rises

Unique New York...Unique New York...Unique New York... That one is probably the hardest;D *chuckles* Yeah. And it seems so easy too, at least when you read it silently to yourself! "Ya-nique Yew York, new-yeek New York, unique Yew..." *tounge quits and vacates mouth* ;D ~Light Rises

*chuckles* Oh, I see what happened here! The "Claw" quote that Cool mentioned was an LGM quote from the original Toy Story (when they were all in that prize machine, right before Sid ends up snagging Buzz), not the Jim Carrey one from Liar, Liar. 'Tis an understandable mix-up.^^ One of my very favorite parts of the movie! (Wow, I almost spelled "favorite" with a "u" there, LOL. XD ) ~Light Rises

This is the set in question, right? Like pitbulllady, I think it's rather neat to have Randall and Stitch in the same pin set. Still, it IS a bit strange, especially considering that Stitch is the only character here who originated from a 2D source. Now that I think about it -- what with that background -- this looks a bit like a very weird, potentially very BAD crossover idea based on someone's leftover-induced dream! ~Light Rises

You can also mentio that the official "Guide" to the movie has an excerpt from a page in the M.I. Employee Handbook(which is still available through Amazon.com)in which it states that working on the Scare Floor afterhours is ENCOURAGED, regardless of what Jerry said(he was probably just rattled after the "23-19" incident and afraid it would happen again to someone working alone, on HIS floor, and he'd get chewed out for it), so even if Randall HAD been doing that, it would not have been against company policy. It would not have been considered unethical cheating, in other words. Mike was just being his usual jealous self. pitbulllady And there's something else I've thought of: What if Jerry had been TOLD to ensure that everyone had to leave Scarefloor F upon quitting time, at least for that day? Doesn't it make more sense for Randall to go through with getting the needed child when no one else was around scaring (and potentially seeing something they might deem "suspicious" at Randall's station), than if Scarers were allowed to clock in their normal overtime, if they so chose to? Somehow, I sorta doubt that was something Waternoose would leave to chance, so I have to wonder if the decision to clear the Scarefloor was purely based on Jerry's whim. Either way, though, it was ridiculous of Mike (or people who've watched the movie, for that matter) to assume that Randall was cheating -- not only because of the company's policy regarding overtime, but also because it was clear in the film that Scarefloor F was pretty much shut down by the time Sulley ran back to retrieve Mike's paperwork, INCLUDING the tallyboard. Sans the tallyboard, Randall couldn't cheat, and the SE was most DEFINITELY not attached to the tallyboard! And we all SAW how Randall reacted to being accused of cheating; he had to lie -- LIE -- about what he was really involved with by agreeing that he was a "cheater"! Geez...people just need to get a clue! ~Light Rises

Kneaded erasers are fun ;D Much better than using it to erase charcoal ... I like it's ... webby-ness ^^ Silly Putty too. That rocks ;D Might not be good to make figures out of though, since it kinda sinks when you mold it ... Ooooh, most definitely! ;D I almost always like having something to play with in my hands, especially when I'm a bit on the bored side, and both kneaded erasers and Silly Putty are the best for that (S.P.'s even better for transferring latent aggression for some reason, though. Lol. XD ). If you want something that holds its shape as well as kneaded erasers, though, try "Sculpey." It's really fabulous sculpting material once you get the hang of it, and you can bake it in your home oven!^^ I'd NEVER want to! I mean, it's Randall; that's a piece of ever-lovin' ART we're talkin' 'bout there! He will NOT be used as an eraser! Not allowed! *guards Randall eraser like a big ol' mama bear* ;D ~Light Rises

My LORD, this is gorgeous! I sorta wish the painting of Randall's coloration (at least along his spine) didn't look quite as "paint-by-the-numbers" as it does, but the sculpting job itself is absolutely phenomenal. And yeah, it IS rather encouraging to see a Randall ( and a Boo) figurine being released four years after the movie, especially since it seems to confirm that Disney doesn't see the value in killing Randall off, and that perhaps he just MIGHT get his second chance, after all! What I also find interesting, though, is that I don't see any previous MI sculptures in WDCC's archives; Randall and Boo are the first ones. I hafta wonder if that's indicative of true character popularity, rather than certain leading protagonists (who-shall-remain-nameless *cough*) that Disney might've once deemed the most marketable. I can tell you from experience how difficult and painstaking it is to carve each and every one of Randall's scales, since I've done it, and THAT was carving them in soft, pliant clay. THESE artists are carving them in GRANITE, one of the hardest rocks there is! pitbulllady Hmm...sorry, but I'm afraid the WDCC website says these are CLAY sculptures -- not granite -- the final ones of which are cut into pieces to make plaster molds, into which liquid clay is poured, partially air-dried, and then reassembled. Regardless, it still amounts to an extremely painstaking process, and when also looking at all the character research these artists invest in these sculptures, I can understand why they cost so much. Looks like I'm gonna hafta save my nickels and dimes, too, because this is too good to pass up! And Randall's sculptor...Valerie Edwards. All right -- she offically rocks right now. ;D ~Light Rises

And yeah, I mean, it's everyone's own CHOICE if they wanna get a McDonald's or not. They can't sue the company just because they're fat! They might as well just sue themselves! Absolutely, 100% agree with that. *nods vigorously* And yeah, I heard LOTS about that "Super Size Me" documentary; I have NO sympathy for the dude who helmed that project. His findings: "If a person eats McDonald's everyday for a month, then he or she will get fat." Well, DUH!!! You don't need to do a stupid, disgusting experiment to figure THAT out! Sheesh! That said, I DO like the occassional McDonald's Big Mac and fries. My mom tries to stay away from picking up fast food too often, though; she prefers to cook meals at home, where she has complete control over the ingredients. She's also been trying to cook healthier, and since she's a fantastic cook, her healthy meals are quite excellent, and the fast food is hardly missed. ;D ~Light Rises

*Light Rises' brain is impaled at the end of stick and held over a fire* *after 15 minutes, it turns a crispy shade of brown* NOW it's overdone. ;D "...Once the brain has been seared to a golden brown, remove it from the flame and then season it with pinches of paprika, kosher salt, and a drizzling of extra virgin olive oil. Let it stand for ten minutes, carve, then serve. Always a hit at children's birthday parties!"~Light Rises

*waves* Hey there, Veg! Glad you could join us! ;D
*thinks a moment*...I think I've got most of Randall's lines down, in terms of having them memorized verbatim. But considering these past few weeks of college...I'm afraid my brain has been slightly "overdone." Uh...yeah. *cough* ^^;
