Any prospect of using 3D printing to make models of Ms.Flint, Dean Hardscrabble and other minor monsters, as well as the big stars?

Dean Hardscrabble is my favorite monster design of Monsters University, as Ms. Flint was for me in Monsters Inc. The way her centipede and dragon halves go together, even though they are so different, is just beautiful.

With science and technology accelerating as they are, in 100 years we may have the ability to shape ourselves as we wish, give ourselves new organs with new capabilities, and be as varied in our body plans as the monsters. Will Earth after the Singularity resemble the Monsters movies?

Will there ever come a time when a Monsters fanfic will be able to be made a movie by that fan? After all, computer technology is already at the point where the monsters can be animated, and indeed was so twelve years ago. Yes, Pixar has access to more computer power than a fan does, but I have more computer power in my pocket than the largest computer in the world did when I was in college, and more than existed in the world combined when I was born. And I would imagine that voice synthesis would be even easier (I may be wrong), so we could reproduce the actors voices. Or is this proof that I have read too much science fiction?

A television series, like Disney often spins off from their films? A MI sequel? Figurines, perhaps made with 3D printing (additive manufacturing)? Something else?

Just looked over the Monsters University website. Unless the site is just a selection, it looks more appropriate for Fear Tech...a specialized school for scarers (going by the name) with a few "rounding" courses in other topics. A University should have more departments in all sorts of fields, not three-quarters of them all related to one field (even one as both important and prestigious as Scaring is in the Monster World).

Yes. I am Czech. All 8 of my great-grandparents were born in Bohemia.

The area code is 510, in California. Sullivan's pet is named "Archie", just like my childhood silky terrier. Dean Hardscrabble said that Mike's use of a roar would cause the boy to cry instead of scream, alerting his parents and exposing the monsters to the human world. But wouldn't screaming alert the parents too? Are the girls identical sextuplets? How does Randall see without his glasses? I would have liked to have seen a Ms. Flint cameo at some point...maybe she could be an upperclassman, or a scarer at MI (before she became a trainer). The manikans looked more primitive than they did in MI...appropriate for a prequel. Forgive me if these have been covered elsewhere, I wanted to post while my impressions were still fresh, but I haven't looked at the site so I would not read a spoiler.

Just rented from the library. Pretty good film! Not the same sort of monsters (mostly), and I liked how humans got along in the end. Wolfman was my favorite.

Just saw the 3D version with my cousin Sharon. She had never seen Monsters Inc. before, or even heard of it. We both loved it. I like the trailer to Monsters U. and look forward to catching it.

What do they do? Are they decorations, like a pearichard's tail? Weapons, like a deer's antlers? Sensory organs, like a moth's antennae? Why would a lizard have such growths?

WMJI did a Xmas marathon about mid-Nov last year. Cable Channel Music Choice Sounds of the Season started Christmas music Nov 2 this year.

Borrowed from the Library. Finally, another movie I like just as much as Monsters Inc.
