That last picture is HILARIOUS! I'm not going as anything, though I'm holding a mini (non-costume) Halloween party which consists of watching the Nightmare Before Christmas and scoffing popcorn and Halloween chocolate...things. Not many of my friends are coming though, since they've just spent the whole of the last week on a cruise in Greece and are pretty knackered.

Vundaba? You mean "Wunderbar" - pronounced essentially the same way ('v's and 'w's are prounced oppositely of the English pronounciation). It's not Russian, it's German - means wonderful. ;D It's one of the few words I remember from my time in Germany (lived there 'till I was three). ^_^ I just remember it from Fawlty Towers. 'Whatever you do, don't talk about the war!' And yeah, to be honest, I can't really see the connection between 9/11 and Snakes On A Plane...Although I haven't seen the film myself.

I completely agree that 'Snakes On A Plane' is being very harsh towards reptiles and putting them in a bad light (but is NOT racism), but this has happened in hundreds of movies in the past. It's probably why Randall looks the way he does- it's easier for an audience to hate something scaley as we've all been influenced to dislike reptiles or creatures that are similar to reptiles, like in Randall's case.

Between the name and ruins themselves? I think it was something to do with a previous leader of theirs from about two thousand years ago who was called that.

The hotel we were staying at had these thousand year old ruins in the gardens which looked a bit like Stone Henge, and all of the lizards were hanging out there.
