It's true that the hurricane can't be blamed on Bush, but I do, in a sense, understand that some of the people who have been affected badly by it all and didn't recieve immediate help would want to blame it on someone, since I guess their anger is going undigested, and taking it out on a particular person is easier than just blaming it on nature. I'm not saying that it IS Bush's fault, just that there are reasons for people blaming him.

Yeah, it was silly to send all of those troops over there.

You know what really pisses me off? That people actually VOTED for Bush. Now all of this has happened and the people of New Orleans' help was SO delayed that it's just ridiculous! There was more of a response when the tsunami happened!
But not rebuilding New Orleans...Personally, I wouldn't even consider that an option- I've never been to the place, and I haven't seen much of it, not even in pictures, but I've heard that it's so wonderful that it would be SO SAD to loose something as special as there.

I'm not an expert, but I actually think they're quite different things...

So, basically, it will eventually run out but will take a hell of a long time, and if we continue with our scientific advanses etc., by the time it's meant to have run out, we'll have found out another means of creating energy that's cleaner anyway. Things always seem to be improving, so I guess it's only a matter of time before humans discover something else.

Yep, there were panics for petrol over here- people were going mad and filling up their tanks as much as they could, but the shortage only lasted a week or so, and as far as I know, it's back to normal now.

I'm sure there are thousands upon thousands of people out there who really, truly loved New Orleans, including its inhabitants, so I guess they really will be trying their best to get things back to normal, though I see what you mean about it never really being properly the same again.

They're so brave and strong to be willing to carry on after their lives have been turned completely upside-down, but with that kind of hope, I'm sure they'll be able to turn everything around again.

*sticks fingers in ears and sings loudly* I think we're studying Animal Farm this year at school (depending on what our teachers choose) so we'll be reading the book and probably (and hopefully) watching the film then. It sounds very interesting!
