Well, I know I'm several days late with my condolances, Pitbulllady, but I thought I'd offer 'em anyway. The flu is never nice (worst case I ever had was the stomach flu a few years ago - could barely move for two days). I hope your hospital bill isn't too big. I'm just glad I live in Canada; all our shots are free, here. ^_^ If they start privatizing here in Alberta, I'm going to kill Ralph Klein.

If it is the flu...
I recall there being pills supplied here before. I remember. I had them when I caught the flu. Pretty powerful....

We have flu jabs, I just don't remember being told that we were gonna get a flu jab. I mean, we get jabs, we just don't know what they're for.

Sorry it's late, but hope you feel better soon. *goes and eats waffles and then starts a card that she will post later in the topic* Because I feel like I should, that's why!

That's terrible, pitbulllady! I'm so sorry to hear you caught that nasty flu. I had it recently, myself, and it's no picnic. But I can't imagine how bad it would be if I had health problems.
I'll be sending out my prayers to you.
My advice? Take it easy, relax, and sleep as often as you can. It's a fact that your immune system works best when you're asleep. Other than that, I hope you feel better very soon. *big hugs*

I'm feeling bit better-still have this nagging cough to deal with, and it is especially bothersome at night. It gets worse when I lie down, for some reason, so nights are spent alternating between "cat-naps", coughing fits and surfing the 'net in the dark. I still feel "wrung out", for lack of a better term, just weak and tired and still don't have an apetite. It probably would have been much worse if I hadn't had the flu shot earlier, though. Most diabetics and asthmatics(I'm both, lucky me)end up hosptilized for long periods of time with the flu, IF they make it at all. I just hope no one else in my family catches it, especially my father and aunt, who were with me at the hospital Sunday night. They're both in their sixties and have NOT had the flu shot, since there was a shortage and the shots were only given to people with chronic health problems, like mine, or to people over 70.
