I have pretty much no idea what 'tire' is, but it sounds as though it's associated with snow, and since we do not get snow here, then...yeah. I think I mentioned what "tire" was in a previous post. Pronounced like "tear", it means "pull" in French. So, "tire d'érable" means "pull of maple", or "maple pull".... Yeah. It's warmed up, thick, gooey maple syrup dribbled on snow (which usually looks more like crushed ice-cubes - you know, the kind of snow that fish lie on to keep 'em fresh in fishmarkets?), which you then roll onto a popsicle stick or something similar, then either chew on it for a while or suck on it like a lolypop. You've never tried maple anything? The horror! Next time you have the opportunity to do so... do so! Hell, just go to your local supermarket and scour the aisles for even imitation maple syrup! Toute suite! It's better than nothing! ...Man, I can't even immagine it! O.o; Growing up with no maple products! It's not the staple of our diets, but it's a wonderful treat to have once or twice a week.

LOL! Mira! Congrats for calling me on that one. No, I do not actually have Aunt Jemima physically on my pancakes. Only of my waffles!
