That's awful...about those lizards.
I agree with pitbulllady. It must have been fascinating working with that tribeswoman. I can't imagine growing up without pets and links to wild animals and such.

Anyways...I heard that they raise lizards in windowless sheds and when the humans think they are ready to be made into boots or such, they break their necks or stomp on them. Can you imagine if somebody actually did that to Randall? GASP! Who is "they"? I do know that in Asian countries lizards and snakes are skinned alive for their hides, since the people believe that doing so keeps the skin supple. I certainly won't argue that this is cruel, but many groups would not be happy just to put a stop to this practice, but to stop someone like myself from keeping a Bearded Dragon as a pet, believing THAT to be just as cruel as skinning an animal alive. Most people do not understand that reptiles are much more advanced, biologically, than previously thought. Many think that they are primitive, therefore incapable of feeling pain, so people feel far less remorse for doing horrible things to a snake, things they wouldn't dream of doing to a dog or cat or even a rat, because those are fellow mammals. Reptiles actually have MORE sensory nerves than we do, though, so they actually feel pain MORE than most mammals are capable of. Now, Randall would not be a reptile, in spite of his scaly appearance, but he probably would have more heightened senses than us because of his ability to change color/pattern to match a background without really looking at the background. It still bothers me a lot to watch that scene in which he gets beaten, knowing the sort of damage a shovel can do to a flesh-and-blood body, and to bone. There was simply no justification in that whatsoever, especially since it came about as a direct act of revenge. How anyone can consider James P. Sullivan to be a "hero" is beyond me. If he is a hero, then so is every KKK member who lynched someone to get even with something that person did. pitbulllady

Yeah, what Sullivan did to Randall was not justified at all.

"If I can't take him out myself....at least I can go to court....then again....so far....like anybody remembers me right?".
In any case, Sullivan would deserve the same treatment...remorse or not...
