We didn't really get to see ANYONE'S beliefs in the movie, apart from the whole 'children being toxic' thing, and that isn't exactly a 'religion'.

Are you guys series? I just cannot believe Randall always thought kids were toxic. I see that he knew they weren't, and was ridiculed for it, so he just had to go along with the popular belief.
And I don't mean it as a religion.
Besides...the "toxic" thing...is...more of...a "precaution".

And I don't mean it as a religion. Besides...the "toxic" thing...is...more of...a "precaution". Firstly, I didn't say that RANDALL believed children were toxic, I said ANYONE- as in, most monsters- believed they were toxic, and you can't deny that. Secondly, I seriously doubt Randall went around SAYING that he thought children weren't toxic, because he had the common sense to realise that he would've been ridiculed for saying that, and therefore decided to keep his thoughts to himself. Also, he would've been thought as a 'hazard' to the company if he'd gone around denying the whole children being toxic thing, and if the CDA caught wind of what he was saying, he wouldn't have been able to work at MI for the time that he had. Also, he couldn't have told everyone that he thought that children weren't toxic, and then when they made fun, he decided to say that he actually didn't believe that, because he'd be contradicting himself, and if he believed that children weren't toxic, he wouldn't try to change his beliefs in his own mind just because everyone else believed something else- he would probably just keep his thoughts to himself.

Ah...clearer that time.
"Heh heh...Cool....your half right....at first I did say so....to Fungus and in a report I did....when my teacher...ahem...uh...."graded" me....I figured that I'd rather avoid anything else....so I just went along with what everyone thought...even though they were wrong. Well actually....I got into M.I. in a very....shall we say...."interesting" way.....I'd...rather not say I....I'm still trying to thank him..."
Let me take it pal. Remember Cool. Randall lived in a racist world. When he was his naive self
"Hey!"
Ahem....when he was his naive self, at a young age he did share his beliefs with who he trusted, but they just dismissed it....well...with one exception.... Anyway. Randall knew kids weren't toxic. They had a class on Human World and he just couldn't believe that they were. But yes. He kept his opinions to himself, though was constantly "rolling an eye" if you will at anyone mentioning such things as kids being toxic.
...... If the C.D.A. had heard him Cool....he wouldn't even be alive now.

Because it was most likely the CDA who spread the idea of children being toxic in the first place- a panicking nation is one that is very easy to manipulate.

I have actually gone so far as to make a non-venomous snake bite me(which is often harder than you think; most snakes are really reluctant to bite), even opening its mouth and putting a finger inside, just to prove to some idiots that the snake wasn't "poisonous", since they insisted that all snakes were! It can be very difficult to break long-held traditional beliefs, sometimes. Oddly enough, the LESS education people have, the easier it is to change their minds; the most difficult people to convince have been fellow teachers.

HA!!!!
BRILLIANT!
Congradulations COOL! You've unlocked a secret! Ha ha! Congrats!
The C.D.A. and Scareing itself is a tradition. C.D.A. watch Scarers in an "overly protective" way. Eversince Scareing first started, relationships, such as one with Boo and Sullivan, were to be prevented. I cannot say why, but Scare Co. and the C.D.A. don't just run a business, they are....."protecting" the interests of the Monster World itself.
Again... Good work Cool. I didn't expect to reveal it so soon heh heh...
