Thanks And I love that shirt too! Funny shirts FTW! Mom was nice enough to buy me a ton of clothes for my new job. It's kind of a dressy place and I have only one dressy outfit. I feel kind of strange, as I never dressed formal before.

Well, for me, yesterday I looked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I was quite surprised not only by the size of the library, but also the variety of art, ranging from 18th century furniture to contemporary abstract paintings.

I don't think so, though I HAVE also been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few years ago. Wasn't for me, unfortunately; it looked like it was more about heavy metal and breaking rules than about encompassing soft rock and progressive rock as well.

I've been to the Indianapolis art museum a few times, as well as one in Louisville (but that was for musicals more than anything).

We apparantly have a newbie who for whatever reason doesn't answer questions when asked.

Forgot to say this earlier but: Went to an RSPB meeting a few days ago, my dad was kind of hoping I could make connections in the conservation world etc. for work. (Is it kind of wrong I think that's rather... distasteful? I mean I like wildlife and all but to make career prospects the MAIN aim of going, or to get a job in THAT way kind of makes we wince... he kind of does that sometimes though. I mean he means well and I do want a job after all when I go out to look for a real career... but it's not something I enjoy thinking or doing. I can get talking to people but the idea of using people like that is kind of... blech. It makes me almost regress to how I was as a young teenager. Very quiet and on the edges and feeling like a bad person. I don't like the idea of being nice to people for that reason.... I just... yeah. If that makes sense. ) Instead I got talking to this guy who writes for a living. He's not well known but he makes enough to get by. He mainly writes poetry as well as short Sci Fi stories. I got talking to him and some other guy who was also into sci-fi/fantasy fiction etc. Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams fans! Yay! Just as well, I was kind of feeling a bit awkward before then. (As well as the other situation, with my dad actually there. Almost everyone else- almost three times my age bar a few). Eh think it's cool how that sort of thing can cross generational gaps. Silly thing, but a situation which was going to 'sucketh' didn't really turn out too badly. Plus my dad wasn't too ticked really, thank goodness. I'm going to try and look this guy up a bit more, see if I can get a copy of his sci fi stories from a shop or something.

Just got Avenged Sevenfold's new album "Nightmare" and so far, it sounds pretty good, I'm actually quite excited to see what new songs they had considering that their former drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan had actually wrote most of it before he died. I still can't help but be a little chilled by the thought that the one who brought alot of life to their lyrics is dead and gone. Makes me wonder if he knew that his end was coming because according to the band, his death still seems too unreal. In fact, he had handed to them the promos to the songs and told them "Here's the last songs for the album" just barely a few days before he died!
Either way, I do wish the band the best of luck, I'm sure for them his death has not been easy to handle. RIP The Rev!

I'm happy to report that I still have a job. While my manager decided to discuss with me about the evaluation, the only thing she says that I need to improve on is being more social with customers, although she is going to complain to the district manager about it, she feels that there were certain points taken off on it that given our shorthanded situation, was unfair in her opinion.

I have an interview today. Wish me luck!
Also in other news I think (in my head at least) some of my original fiction ideas might be coming together more.
Kind of random but I'm thinking of writing random scenes in order to get a feel for the characters I've got more. I think a part of me was kind of freaked out because the idea expanded from a two book part, to a trilogy, to something which might end up being a four book thing... o_0.
I'm going to perhaps set myself a target and while it will take time, try and get a very rough draft of the first book done in less than a year. But I'd better start sooner rather than later since with a Masters I won't have that much time soon. But I hope to do a little bit all the same.
Well, wish me luck.
