I know the pics you're talking about from your DA and site, but I must have been off when you posted them here. Was the outcome bad? Oh, so you do know about them. I've actually never posted them here, when I had first posted them, it was on my main site only at the time, my little antics in relation to the pics had happened before I had ever joined this site but since I did check out this board from time to time, I actually already knew I was in trouble before I had logged into my DA account. I had actually used my pics as a rebelious move against the "Save Randall" campaign and for the first time ever in my life, I had actually used my art as a way to make a statement, normally I don't do that nor am I really brave enough to do so. As you know, I'm not part of the campaign for my own reasons and somehow in my mind, I felt that I could use my art as a way to speak my mind or something like that. I believe only a small few actually were aware of what I did...in the end, I took down my pics from my site as a way to show my apologies for over stepping my boundaries just a little....not sure why after that I chose to sign up for a account here but strangely enough, I did. In fact for the first half of the year, I was careful of what I posted and what I said, figuring that even attempting to join this board after the stunt that I pulled was walking on eggshells enough as it is. Within that time, I still felt badly about taking down my art, normally I don't let others tell me how my art should be treated or depicted, I've probably only allowed that to happen to me once in a sculpture class which in the end was a decision that I regretted. I then within time reposted my work up on my main site again but due to the fear of DA's censorship restrictions, I was hesitant on posting it on my DA account, it wasn't until after I had read their rules relating to mature pics was when I had finally decided to post the pics and if somehow I were to be reported and banned, then so be it. Both drawings when originally drawn were inspired by music and my strange mind, lol. Their original reason for their creation had nothing to do with saying something or making statements or whatever, I chose to make them that. My picture "Scream" seems to stem from the concept of losing your mind and insanity that can be caused by work, media, everyday life. The song that inspired the picture is actually a MJ song which he had performed with his sister Janet. Michael Jackson was always being dogged by the media for his life and how he lived it, almost like he wants to scream everytime he's faced with such craziness. I had first heard the song on an unfinised MI amv on Youtube which was using the song to make a comparison to the monsters scaring and collecting scream energy. I looked up the song and listened to it in full then the idea for the image just kind of came to me. "Pretty Noose" is a different story though, I'm still not sure what else inspired me for this pic besides the song....I've thought of the possibility that maybe it was more of a personal picture in relation to myself since in the pic, Randall is drawn looking pretty pissed off...that and also the song is basically about a girl as well....at that time, I saw myself being too different from other Randall fans and even saw myself as a freak of this fandom, taking into consideration that it's not too normal for a fan to draw their fav character in the not so happiest of moments. I guess for me, if all a character ever does is just put on a happy face, they seem less realistic to me since the fact is, you won't always be happy all of the time cause that's just not normal, that's not real life, it's more like a fantasy. Looking back at my pics now and seeing that there are even other Randall fans who have posted up similiar art to mine in where Randall shows that he can feel sadness, that he can hurt has helped me feel a little relief cause it shows that I'm not such a freak after all. It shows that my views of what could be considered as fan art aren't too farfetched is a pretty comforting thought.

That's the beauty of fanart, it can be whatever you want it to be, regardless of what others think I've seen a small handful of other artist who do Randall hurt/comfort pics, so you're far from alone. I'm glad that your hesitation didn't stop you, especially considering that at the time you joined that save Randall campaign was the hot topic here and everyone was for it. Takes a lot of guts to come here with different ideas

Speaking of fanart, over the past few days Bleedman finally got back with me on the commission, I just finished paying him this morning so I think a day or so, he should be finishing it up and posting it soon I believe. When he does as promised, I'll post up a link to the picture here. ;D

Awesome! I looked at some of his art a while back when you first ask him and he's really good. I'm excited to see Judging from the study sketches he sent me, I'm so excited to see her in full color! ;D I did request that he made a few changes to his interpretation of her before he did the final but I do love how he drew her, it's very much in his style and also, he's done an interesting twist on her interpretation...I showed my mom his sketch studies, she could tell right away that he was a guy due to his drawing style, not saying that she didn't like his pictures of my character, she's just not as keen on them. I already checked my e-mail account, he said that he recieved the payment no problem and will have it done in a couple of days.

Yup Mistica, I'm interested in seeing what he does with it too!
In my own things... well I'm not sure if this comes under sucketh or not... bit of both really.
More or less got another incentive to try even harder to get a part time job, since my mum says she'll pay part of the way if I can get one and save up etc for it. Which is awesome of her BTW.
What am I talking about saving for?
Anyway, unless you've been living in a cave, we've all heard of the BP oil spill.
Well, hardly looks like the clean-up will end tomorrow, in fact help might be needed even next year.
I kind of said I wanted to go back to America of course and New Orleans and Lousiana in general as mentioned is one of the places I want to see. Like, BADLY. Closest I got on this trip at all was meeting a guy from there in San Francisco Friendly, nice guy if bad financial situation IMO. Oh and a girl I was sharing a hotel room with I met my last day saying she was seeing it (SO JEALOUS, even with the same tour company, I just never saw that specific trip, I loved the one I was on, but bah. It even incorporates half the trip I was on already... she's probably there right now.).
Anyway, if I can...
What do you think about me being there for two months in the clean up stuff? (I mean I'd LIKE two months at least in any case and anything less than a month would be... well useless in my eyes because I'd barely have gotten the hang of it after two weeks probably if it's complicated in any way , but that depends of course on MONEY.), I'd probably be for most of that time helping with the clean up. AND be hopefully able to see the city once in a while to boot.
'Course there's a problem with finding whether there are any groups for foreigners like myself to join... like at all. I hear it's mostly residents (obviously) but also outsider americans, but little on people abroad like me you know? Any of you guys know of any groups? Preferably ones which dont make you pay THOUSANDS to work for them? (I anticipate some cost of course for accomodation and stuff, but some of these things really take the mickey I swear. A part of me is seriously tempted just to get a flight, a cheap motel and go 'Hey guys, need a hand?' and totally wing it but THAT would probably be pretty stupid.).
Granted I feel like kind of a weasel from almost having this as an EXCUSE to go. I haven't been on that many trips without my family, but those I have have always involved volunteering ** in some way soooo...
Yeah.
-Feels like a worm-
(Is this even in the right thread?!)
**(this year was a bit different, 4 weeks as a volunteer and 2 weeks as a tourist... kind of a novelty really but fun, last two weeks felt like a reward in that sense)

Tomorrow when we go shopping, I was thinking of picking up some little things in order to make this It's a choker that I saw in this catalog that they sent us in the mail but I'd figure that making a necklace like it would be more cost efficient as opposed to paying seventy bucks for one in the damn magazine.

I spent the last couple days with Zack's family. They were visiting at a local hotel and it turned into a kind of mini-vacation They're going to be here again sometime this fall, probably October. Because they just left today, I decided not to volunteer at the Humane Society and instead make up for the lack of sleep. My future-mother-in-law is much too active for me to keep up with >,> Kind of embarrassing since she's in her 50s and has more energy than me. But I saw that a puppy that came in last week was adopted and three kittens are in pending adoption! And no other pets were brought in too! Awesome, since the lady who brought in the pup last week was kind enough to hold the brother of the pup until we cleared out a cage or two. Now we can adopt him out too

That sounds pretty good, Bampot.
My hunt to replicate a choker is still going, despite not being so successful but today, I bought this one funny shirt that has a raptor beating a rubix cube and underneath it says "Clever Girl'. I immediatly knew where that line was from and the guy was relieved that I knew, he said that he always has to explain to customers about it cause most people don't get it....by the way, anyone know where that line originates from? ;D
