Ok, I got some extra info on Power Discs....
Also seems Randall may be in the "wave 2" of figures to come out. Seems he'll be both in the single and pack versions (apparently there are "sidekick" and "villain" packs. Fives guesses where they put him).
Anyway...to the discs. Now, if I remember saying, some characters have personal power discs (and apparently there WILL be some rare ones as well as rare figures), so the info kind of gives an idea to what Randall might get.
We have standard ones that increase damage and lessen damage... (so yes, there IS fighting in the game. Since Randall's in it...oh man...we're going to see him whip some tail!!)
Ones that increase health (fighting after all, and I did see this in MU where Sullivan was getting attacked by guards, but guess he's just knocked out and sent to a form of "detention" or something.)
There's also one that increases the gain of "economy". I'm not 100% sure on this (I looked, no firm note on this either)...but my guess is that it's the equivalent to your funding. Gold/coins/ore/rupees what have you that is your currency. Now...guessing this is to purchase in-game things (like for MU's mode, it's used to "purchase" joke/prank items??)
Then one I saw on a sort of card thing is mounts/vehicles. I THINK each playable character will have their own...it's been done in many a racing game that each character has a personalized vehicle. (Randy gets his own car, sweet ^0^)
Then there are the terraform ones...which change the "sky" and "terrain objects" in accordance to what power disc it is (such as maybe making the sky ocean-like with the Finding Nemo one or pink with cards with the Alice in Wonderland one.)
And, with the above fighting...we have add-on weapons. Or at least I guess they're weapons.
Stitch's Blaster and (strange enough) Carl's weird tennis-ball walker from Up are power discs. So my guess is that these are equipment discs. Now Stitch's blaster, that's self-explanatory weapon...don't remember if Carl is in the game (haven't looked in Up), but imagine HIM beating creatures with his walker hehehe.
Anyway...I say "equipment" as well because...maybe they're just add-ons for the characters (in which case, we MAY see Randy's glasses as one ^0^)
Well that's all for now, guessing what our boy may get his hands on and imagining the awesomeness we can put him in.

Also...looking over the Episodic Disney Infinity (where the developers talk about the game)...noticed something.
John Day, one of the producers, who's name I probably got wrong, was explaining about Play Sets (mentioned earlier). And, when he got to the Incredibles, he noted that you can play Syndrome IN the Play Sets.
Now, what this seems to mean is that even in Play Sets you can play outside the well..."protagonist" roles. Remember that Toy Box is essentially the party mode while Play Sets are in-world stuff.
What does this mean for Randall? Well heh heh...seems we'll get to pull some pranking after all with him hehehe.
And it seems yeah, maybe his unique abilities come into play too (as it was noted earlier that Sullivan's scareing abilities are different from Wazowski's "luck" at activating stuff on the field).

Also also...
Appears there are generic enemies in-game, at least from the Toy Set variety.
For instance, the Omnidroid is now smaller (like it's original incarnation before the giant one) and there are a lot of them. Or the undead-ish pirate crew from...well...Pirates. And yes, you do fight them.
Now for MU...seems the main theme is, along with Scareing, the pranking between Fear Tech and MU. (heck, in this case, as Randall is in MU, he's protagonist in that role)
Now the generic enemies I've seen are the guards at Fear Tech, at night. Now...unsure if the above combat goes into Toy Box...but if it does...might mean there can be combat in MU too (ooooh school-yard rules of fights between Fear Tech houses and MU houses, nwice).
