That's a good question Cool. BUT that's the difficult part. IF it WAS a banishment door. What the heck was it doing in the Door Vault? And if it WASN'T then why wasn't there a child?

Maybe the door used to belong in a house. But then the owners moved out and something tore it down.

Or, maybe the first owner of Monsters Inc created those doors just incase. You know like how Lockness, the abonable snowman, and big foot were banished.
