Thanks ^_^
Now. Obtaining one would be hard considering the fact that Banishment Doors are seemingly used by...well whomever handles the matters after a guilty verdict.
In such, it can be said that this goes more past Waternoose...^_^

If all of the doors used to banish monsters were made of metal, then therefore the door to the trailer could not be considered a banishment door. So why would there be a door to that trailer in the first place? We don't see any trace of children there.
I think that the door to the Himilayas was made out of metal to withstand the harsh conditions that that door would have to experience. Anyway, it's not the monsters who designed the doors themselves, but the humans, so it would be a real coincidence if every door that was used for banishment was made out of metal, as the humans would've conciously decided this. For example, if a banishment door led to a desert, would it really be made out of metal?

The door *I* was referring to WAS the metal one that Waternoose used to banish Mike and Sulley to the Himalayas, not the one into which Randall was thrown. THAT was just a regular kid's door in the Door Vault, though I'm certain that Mike knew where it led. Waternoose would not have had that big metal door in the Door Vault, since that would risk somebody winding up with it in their Door Station, and finding out where it actually led to, which would NOT have been a kid's bedroom! I'm sure he kept that door hidden somewhere, and only he knew how to "call it" down, and it might not have been the only such door he kept for such illegal purposes, either.
