Yeah, glad that's agreed so far...I guess it's also "home colors" as it were....ooo! We're a Frat/Soro and green and purple are our colors ^0^ Yeah Randall Oh Randall! ^0^ (....that's....ROR....ok, need to change that) Well I am a board dedicate heheh. But yeah, I think I got an awesome idea, hopefully I have the time to make it reality. Haha, it's funny because green and purple are the official colours of both Hogwarts and of my university- the latter of which is great seeing as all of our sports teams have kits that are essentially in the 'ultimate' Randall colours! Whenever I see them out playing football or rugby I always think it's like watching a team of humanised Randalls running about the pitch, haha. And the rankings, before I forget, are currently as follows (with the post count on the right): Randall's Skivvy - 0-299 Randall's Head Servant - 300-799 Randall's Friend - 800-1999 Randall's Best Friend - 2000 - 4999 Randall's Guardian Angel 5000+ I'm open to suggestions both in terms of the names of the rankings and for the post counts- do you guys think they should be a bit lower? We can actually have up to 10 rankings so I was thinking of making it a bit more incremental.

Actually, about prestigious/famous families... I think Johnny and Sullivan go two different ways... Johnny doesn't seem the least worried about reputation...his grades are high, his scaring potential is great...I think he honestly doesn't have much to worry about, aside from getting into the real world. In college, he's the master. He has his pet-crew and can break in new members like *snap* that. In college, he is king. But OUTSIDE it....well...that's probably a different story. Sullivan.....well I can't really spoil that. Of course this is all very open to interpretation, but I do get the feeling that the way Johnny treats people might be to do with how his family have always told him he can treat people. If you have everyone telling you all of your life how much better you are than everyone else, I can see how someone would start believing it- and would start acting like it (especially at college-age, where even 'normal' guys can very often be arrogant, haha). I agree though that Sulley and Johnny seem to have to deal with it in a different way, though. Sulley's arrogance seems to stem more from self-doubt, whilst Johnny's is more 'true' arrogance, from being brought up to be arrogant (again, just my interpretation and opinion, and I might be totally wrong- we'll see when MU comes out, though they might not even go into much depth with Johnny in which case it will always be open to interpretation!)

I'm sure Johnny is going to be an interesting character but based on the fact that he probably is someone who negatively impacts Randall, I can't like him very much. Anyway....prestige.....yes I can see what you are saying lizardgirl. One of my childhood friends is friends with the youngest son of a REALLY prestigious and famous family where I live.....and it does affect them when their family is in the news and publicly known. It's like they have higher standards that are expected of them, and if you fail at something, it will be more in the spotlight than someone who isn't from a famous family. Haha, don't get me wrong, I don't like him at all- in fact, I know a fair few people like him, and they're really not nice beyond the initial smarmy charm...But seeing as we're fans of a character that traditionally isn't supposed to be liked I always feel hypocritical immediately writing off another character (even if he is someone who screws Randall over!) And yeah, exactly, it must be very tough to be in the spotlight like that!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
Okay, we'll definitely stick with the same colour scheme since it works well already.
Which stylised images were you referring to, PBL? I can think of one for MU Randall but not MI, but I'm probably just being forgetful.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got RB, thanks for whipping something up! According to the editing thing the banner size is 728 x 90 if that's of any help.
And I'll try and root out the original list of rankings so that you guys can have a proper think about them.

Johnny's probably...charismatic, but also controlling. He DOES talk smooth and acts appealing....but so did Waternoose, and we know who he really was like. We do know he easily tosses people aside when they don't meet his expectations... Oh don't get me wrong, he's definitely a manipulative guy and not someone you'd want to cross. In fact, he and Waternoose have a lot in common in that sense- manipulating weak people, family prestige...But as much as I don't like either of their actions (at least in terms of what we know so far about what Johnny does to Randall) they're worth being empathised with to a certain extent; it must be difficult having so much history of success in your family, to the point where you're not only encouraged to do well, but expected to, and spending all your life trying to live up to those expectations can really change someone. It's probably why Johnny (and Sulley, at first, considering his family background) are so arrogant at university- they have to be, because if everyone else is convinced that they'll be successful then it makes life a lot easier. There's no room for self-doubt in that sort of a situation, and that's why both Johnny and Waternoose are willing to discard someone (a certain someone, in fact) if they end up 'dragging them down', so to speak. Not that I condone their actions, but I just think it's interesting how something that is supposed to be positive- family prestige- can have quite a negative impact on someone.

Ok, no Randy here...but we DO see the one that manipulated him, Johnny, a bit more. It's not a trailer per-say, it's a clip, so no cuts. No spoilers (at least to US) I don't think but...anywhere...here's the smooth-talking *bleep*... www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-fyVGPnteII actually really, really like the look of Johnny! Don't get me wrong, he's a bit of a douche, but his smooth-talking ways are very appealing. Plus he clearly has an ambitious streak. Think he's going to be an interesting character!

So, expanding from that thread about the Scouse MI video, what are your accents like? I know we've got members from all around the world but do you have a strong accent reflecting where you live or is yours a little more toned-down?
And do you have any favourite accents, accents that make you swoon or fall in love with the person the second you hear them? ;D

lol thats why they need subtitles on geordieshore haha i dont usually have that many problems understanding it being from bristol lol we talk pretty fast haha I didn't realise Bristolians talk fast- though, to be fair, I guess I don't really know what a Bristol accent is like; I just YouTube'd it and there's more of a farmer-y twang to it than I realised (unless that was just an unrepresentative video, haha.) Sounds really nice though, very friendly! "Aright me luver?" On that note I might take your cue and start that accents thread! ;D

Ok, now I know what's being talked about... These guys got that british accent going on. For the most part, they're speaking pretty fast...though the WTF they did with Randall fit perfectly heh. Haha, 'pretty fast' is one way of putting it! I went up to Newcastle just before Christmas last year and it was my first time up t'North, and I don't think I've asked so many people to repeat themselves in my life...My slow southern ears just couldn't handle it, haha! I really think Randall suits a scouse accent, though. It just sort of works! Haha.

I totally agree, CrazyDiamond, I love that they've gone for a nice balance and it works well- he doesn't seem unlikeable but there's still an edge of the Randall we see in MI (and perhaps more at the end of MU?) there which is cool. ;D Also that GIF is AMAZING, haha.

Okay guys, so in honour of Randall's upcoming return in MU, I figured we should have a bit of a forum redesign! And since my finals are all done now (squee) I have a bit more time on my hands to update stuff and make it look all shiny and nice. I'm going to be making these changes in five days so you have until Monday the 3rd to let me know what you think!
Banner and Footer
So these are the things I definitely want to update the most, especially the banner. I'm thinking images of both MU and MI Randall would be good, but otherwise I'm very open to suggestions.
Also, what do you guys think about having a footer at all? Would you like one or do you find it a bit of an annoying addition? Any ideas as to what the footer should be- more images of Randall or something else?
Member Rankings
Yes, the little things under your usernames when you post- these are also going to be updated and any suggestions for categories are welcome!
Colour Scheme
Now, I don't know about you guys, but this is actually something I actually like as is- the colours are very Randall (obviously, haha) and I don't think they're too garish. But, again, let me know what you think!
Anything Else?
Just let me know if there's something else you think should be changed or updated! ;D

I swear my mind has been blown apart at least 5 times now with all of this new Randy stuff. The fact that they're clearly focusing on him as a main character in Disney Infinity is AMAZING. I am definitely going to get this game (and the Randall figurine/character) as soon as it comes out!
Also, I love that moment when he just blasts off into the sky, haha.
