Yup, I'm going to be going away for a few weeks - vacation! ;D Woot! We're going to be leaving Sunday (tomorrow) morning, and we'll be gone for several weeks (not sure when we'll be back, but school starts on the 31st, so we'll probably be back at least a few days, if not a week, before that).
We're going to be driving over to British Columbia (didn't rathereccentric say s/he lived in that province? Maybe I'll see you there!). We're going to be staying at a bed and breakfast run by some friends of the family in Victoria for a few days, then head over to the island to visit/stay with some more friends/see the sights. Then we're going to be heading back towards Edmonton, passing through the mountains, and perhaps making a detour to visit Drumheller (Dinosaur capital of the world! We haven't been in ages!).
*nods* Not as cool as going to Europe, but there you go. Anyways, I probably won't be able to get to a computer, but I'll tell you guys all about it when I get back, okay? ^_^

Bye Beboots! *I am a girl!!!*
We'll miss you. I live on the island! I live just south of Victoria, in Nanaimo. Haha! Have fun! Here is something we play with our friends in Victoria while driving to debating tourneys. In Victoria:
1. Grab yourself your favourite pop.
2. Keep your eyes peeled.
3. Drink each time you see a bum. Twice if he or she is particularily special.
4. The one with the least pop at the end of the ride wins! *Seriously, hobos in Victoria are great ;D*
Miss you! Have fun!

I don't know...it may just be a Canadian phrase. I don't know about Beboots but I have usually heard hobos and commonly use the term.
Yes ther are. They're very very interesting. ;D ;D

WE still call 'em "hobos" down South-I honestly though this phrase was only used in the Southern US nowadays, although it was common everywhere back in the Great Depression days. I was sorta surprised to see it used outside of this area. Now, don't tell me you call carbonated soft drinks "sodas", too!

We use the word 'hobos' in England, too, or we sometimes just call 'em bums. ;D

Well, I'm back! ... For a little while, at least. We had to go home early because both mum and Ian (my brother) became sick (mum's been vomiting for days ). Yup, there were lots of hobos, especially in Stanley Park and in Victoria (part of the wildlife ;D). Dad's probably going to be taking me and my sister to Drumheller in a few days, without our sick family members. ^_^

Awww, well I hope your mother and brother get well soon! Do you know what's caused all of this sickness?
