Josh aka Jake. ^^ I renamed him.
This was done a few months ago, and I kept forgetting to color Josh ... well, now I did ;D And I have some of my fanfic to go with it - the silly thing that'll never get finished because I feel so stupid ... xP *cough* Excuse me ...

This is continued from after Sandra and Randall have a fight, and it upsets Josh a bit
~~~~~~~
Randall tried to respond, but she went all too quickly to seek the comfort and solace of her room. He knew what that was like- it was the safest place he could ever be. Just to lie under his covers made him feel safe and secure, like nothing could ever bother him again.
And that just affected him a lot- he could now understand why scaring affected children so. He could imagine the insecurity it must bring of having nowhere to go to, especially for a child like he was, with no one to look after him or care. And if a bedroom was the only place where a child would truly feel safe, monsters running in there to collect scream certainly made it seem unsafe.
Randall sat down on the sofa, pulling his lower body over so that he could lie across. His tail dangled over the opposite arm rest and brushed the floor gently.
He began to wonder why he was still here. If he was anything like his former self, he would’ve been smart enough to leave her here alone with the child. And as much as Sandra wanted the kid to be returned home, he could see how attached she was and how happy she could be with him. He could never make her feel that way, or even more. Every thing he did would always turn out wrong. Every thing he said would turn out mean.
He felt sweaty palms grasp at his tail, and the warmth of Josh’s soft pajama sleeve against his cold scales. Randall sat up, gently taking his tail away. The baby came into view, peering around the couch with curious eyes. Randall shook his head,
“I’m not good with kids.” He said, for some reason it helped him to pull himself into reality- kids don’t belong in the monster world. He won’t let himself become like Sullivan and tote a kid around all day, playing childish games and acting … well, childish. “I’m not good with anyone,” he realized, his fronds lowering slightly.
The kid was really odd. One second he was running from him, crying, and the next he was clinging to his tail. Again.
Joshey approached him, and tugged gently on his lower arm. Randall groaned, “What do you want from me, you little -”<br> He leaned down into the kids face to try and scare him a little, and Josh wrapped his arms around Randall’s face and laid his head against him. Okay, it was official- the kid was nuts. He apparently had no idea what laid behind those closed jaws. Well … maybe the kid was naïve- he was only a baby. But normally, he knew, children wouldn’t know any better and judge on appearance, and Randall definitely didn’t look warm and cuddly. To everyone, all Randall had to do was look at them, and they knew to steer clear. He wasn’t a monster to mess with.
Best I came up with in months! ;D Well ... some B&B ... maybe my writer's block is going away ...
