Australia, N.T... In the centre ^_^ Same, I love my country! Umm... I learnt Indonesian in the early years of primary school... as well as German and Japanese in yr6... Did Jap for three years... had a break for two... Learning French at the moment! Just started this year, so I'm not very good... The only word I know in Japanese is Kurumi, which means walnut. And I live in the U.S.A! I'm freeeee!! And also a bit weird. Did you know that America is supposed to be the most unhappy country in the world? The happiest country is somewhere between Sweden and something starting with a D or whatever... >.< Anyways, America's people are depressed because of all the taxes and money and grown-up things that I don't yet understand because nobody will tell me about the 'adult' stuff (No I don't mean sex).

that never happens over here... Singapore sounds like a cool place to live It IS a cool place to live in, but only if you have money. Most people here live in tiny high-rise HDB (Housing Development Board) flats... I consider myself to be one of the luckier ones.

I'm from North Carolina, in the USA... I've got a friend or two in England, and one in Canada, and I can speak some French. Like this- if anyone can translate, you gets cyber cookies!
Je suis americanne, je suis quinze ans, et je suis ecrivain.
Seriously, translate and get cyber cookies.

"I am American, I am fifteen years old, and I am something."
Don't know what the last word is. Can I get half a cookie? Haha.

Hm... for translating two-thirds of that, you get *hands you plate of giant cyber cookies*
Keep in mind- that's only for translating two-thirds- imagine what you'll get with all of it...

"I am American, I am fifteen, and I am a writer."
^ Being a Canadian who's spend an entire year in the French-speaking part of my country, I consider myself to be fluent in the language.
BTW, the second part of the sentence is supposed to be "j'ai quinze ans". I know it sounds weird - "I have fifteen years"? But that's just the way French works...

I'm from N.Ireland- where I was born and raised. I'm technically British, but at any time I can randomly decide I'm Irish if I want to be very easily because of where I was born (like one of my cousins, who worked in Saudia Arabia for a few years, got an Irish passprt, since it 'aint popular to be British don't you know). I go to university in England though. I obviously know English. I know NO Irish. (But I have one old school friend who learned a bit in Primary, since her family is Catholic). I did Spanish till GCSE (A qualification at 16), I know very little French (took it until I was 14, before dropping it in favour of the easier ad more useful Spanish). I can't speak it well, but if you sat me in front of a spanish film, I could probably get it. I've always been better at he 'listening' and 'reading' side of languages though. Randomly, I learnt a little Chinese (Mandarin) at the end of last semester. I know a bit, enough to ask people to slow down (since I'm a stupid foreigner), and if they speak english- basic directions etc. Basically tourism type speak. Though, when I get more time I hope to get better at it. And learn how to write it (we were taught in 'pinyin' form during the lessons).

You got that right... I have to be proud of my nation. I love living here, although I do fantisize into what America is like. It's a shame really that I've never had the chance to go there for the hols, since we tour around the whole of Britain most of the time...
Anyway, I live in the East mids (my profile already explains that) in the Leicestershire area. It's kind of busy around here with all of Christmas and stuff.

You know, I really want to move to Maine. I've been up north and I love the weather. Canada is amazing too.
Anywhere away from these cornfields would be wonderful. Although, city life doesn't really appeal to me.

Awesome! I'm not exactly sure whether I would prefer a country life or a city life? All of my life I've been bought up in urban surroundings, but many of my parents friends who we used to visit lived out in the countrysides and nice bungalows... that type of thing. In Coalville, it's kind of a mix as your near some countryside that crosses the motorways and of course you have the towns eg. Ibstock, Coalville, Hugglescote (more of a village)...

I grew up in the country and now live in a very small town (only around 400 people). I always thought city life would be my thing, but I didn't really enjoy the city at when I was at college. I would like to a town slightly larger than mine or a really small city like the one near here.
