Sorry I've been gone so long, everyone.... Umm, well...from Ohio, USA, but I'm anything but American. I'm definitely what one calls "Black Irish." I have an American accent, but a lot of my family doesn't. The definition of "Black Irish" is that those people have generally very pale skin, really dark hair, and vibrant eyes, and generally they aren't so hot-tempered. I noticed some of us are learning other languages. I'm a scholarship Latin student (OJCL Latin Convention is the BAWM!) and I'm taking Japanese.

Latin for the win! I'm actually in the middle of doing my Latin GCSE.

I'm from the UK and it sucks, I want to go out and see the world. I speak English, and a tiny bit of French from school but I'm awful at it!! I have Special K for breakfast and lunch because I'm on a diet I hate dieting

By race I am Chinese. By nationality I am Canadian. I was born in Waterloo, ON and lived there till I was two, and then my folks and I moved to Singapore. It's a small island country near the equator.
The languages I grew up with were English and Chinese, so I consider those two to be the ones I'm most confident in. However, I did pick up French when I was 8 years old, Spanish when I was 11, and German when I was 13. I'm 14 years old now, and consider myself to be fluent in English, Chinese, and French. The other two are still works in progress, if you can call a language that.
And as for what I had for breakfast... an apple, some Chinese tea, and a cheesecake are all I can remember right now. XD

XD Your description of breakfast is making me drool, sorry, though I'd have to exchange the tea for coffee. Like Randall, I'm a coffee addict. I'd really like to visit Singapore, since the pictures and video I've seen show a very neat place, with some cool native flora and fauna. You have Reticulated Pythons where you live, one of my favorite snakes, and the Singapore subspecies of Retic is much sought after in the US by python breeders. pitbulllady

^ Well, yesterday was an exception. I actually drink coffee most of the time - don't know why it was tea.

I'm from good ol' Canada. Y'know, that place who's animal is a beaver. Or a swan. I don't remember which, thus proving how patriotic I am.

^ It's a beaver. No worries; I'm not exactly very patriotic either. The only part of the Canadian National Anthem I can remember is "O Canada..." XD I also have no clue who the Prime Minister is. Shame, shame... *tsk, tsk, tsk*

Yeah, ditto. I hate where I live mainly because of the weather. Example- it's mid-July, and it's raining. Just doesn't make sense!

^ Let me guess... is it the UK? I once went to Cambridge University for a summer program, and we also visited London and Canterbury as day trips. The weather changed so dramatically in such a short period of time - more often than not, my friends and I were either caught outside in a nasty wind wearing T-shirts and shorts, or wearing sweatshirts while the sun was shining. XD

Yup! Ah, Cambridge is gorgeous, but it's Oxford for me. Hopefully. Exactly- today I'm wearing a dress, and it's cold and windy outside. There's just no point trying to second guess the weather; I just wear what I want to wear and ignore the conditions outside.

Back here in Singapore we just had our nation's 43rd birthday... spent yesterday evening watching helicopters dragging Singaporean flags across the sky outside my apartment window. It was pretty cool. I even thought I saw a few fireworks.
