It's another reflect chapter, which mostly deals with me, Randall, and Vee's thoughts. I'm making an in-depth approach ^_^

Next chapter is up! This one relates to more of the "atmosphere" than anything else. Enjoy ^_^.
Chapter 2 Binbow Inn The door to the Inn was graciously opened by Doppler as the three started in. It was still light outside, but it would be getting dark soon. The outside of the Inn seemed interesting enough. It looked like a two story house, but when they saw the inside, it did look like the Inn Doppler had discussed on their way here. Wooden planks covered the floor, a new plate of wood, though not shined, was strong. Several scattered round tables and chairs were around, made out of less thick wood, but darker. There were several places where you could see scaffolding, arcs above to help keep the ceiling of the Inn part of the place from falling. There was a door in the back that presumably led into the place’s kitchen. A few windows were scattered along the walls of the first floor. A staircase could be seen in the lower left corner, which led them to guess that half of this place was an Inn….and the other half was for the owners. It seemed like a home business. Several creatures, few humans if any, sat and drank, ate peculiar forms of dinning. From circle chunks of meat, to up and moving live grubs, they paid no mind. A few didn’t seem to notice their arrival…nearly everyone in fact. “Famous place or something….looks new….” Randall commented, sticking his forked tongue out. “What’s that? This place survive a fire or something?”. Sean rolled his eyes, setting Vee on the closest dark wood chair he could see, holding the chair’s head with a hand as Vee leaned in more to the chair’s back. Doppler passed by Randall, who’s forked tongue was having a smorgasbord with the smells in the air. “Sarah!” Doppler called. Sean noticed a woman in the crowd notice him and head over. She looked young, perhaps middle-age. She looked like a housewife…and a mother. She wore a light red shirt that headed up to her chest, with white sleeves. Her eyes were blue, hair a light brown. One with experience could tell from her face that she had recovered from a tragic event, one of which they couldn’t pin down. Around her neck, she wore a golden pendant. It would look like a pocket watch at times, but it was actually a locket. It seemed like she wore it all the time, Sean spotted a slight groove on her neck, showing her wanting to keep it with her. She came over, looking at Doppler first, giving him an half embrace, her other had occupied with a “carriage” of dishes and cups. “Dilbert? I…thought you were leaving today with Jim….” Sarah said, surprised. “Oh…I ran into a….well….a bit of a scuffle in the square and….oh!”. Doppler turned around, holding out a hand to gesture the invited guests. “Oh Sarah….I’d like you to meet my…uhh…savior….and his friends…” Doppler introduced, gesturing the three. Sean came up first, holding out a hand to shake, which Sarah graciously accepted, placing the carriage down on the table nearest to her. “Names Sean….and I have to say we’re grateful that your friend Mr. Doppler here invited us to come…” he said, trying to be polite. It took him a few moments to snatch Randall away from his smelling spree to get introductions over. “Oh!…And….this is…ummm” Sarah asked, looking Randall over, who just seemed slightly annoyed. “Randall Boggs….professional Scarer and….” He started, leaning into Sarah, which caused he to lean back. “A charmer with the ladies” he said with a grin, raising brows….if he had any. “Alright alright…we’re here for the night….not for weeks…” Sean said, pulling Randall back by his tail. “Oh yes…and this is their friend that took care of that brute….and a good job he did at that…” Doppler commented, gesturing Vee in the chair. “Ehh…hey….” Vee said with a wave of a hand, still holding his chest. Sarah kneeled down to see him better. “You don’t look so good…” she said, then looking up to Doppler. “Dilbert….could you get my medical pack up stairs?” she asked. * Within a few minutes, Vee found himself out on the chair, an empty glass on the table. It looked like he was sleeping. Sarah got up, closing the pack. “What did you do?” Randall asked, looking at her. “He looked really tired….I guess he over did it when he saved Dilbert….he just needs some rest….”. “What about his tail?” Randall asked. Sarah shook her head. “I don’t know what to do about that….but for now….resting would be the best for him…”. “I think we could all take to that…” Sean commented. Sarah nodded, looking back at the crowd. “We’re open for at least an hour or two….”. She turned back. “You can order something if you like…free of charge for saving Dilbert” she said, a soft smile on her face. * Sarah had headed upstairs with Dilbert, seeming to discuss something, leaving Randall and Sean to be with Vee. Sean was across from him, seeing Vee had barred his head in his arms on the table. Randall was between them with a board expression on his face, one hand to the side of his face, the other tapping the table, and the bottom set trying to entertain themselves with a thumb wars. Sean twiddled the ice in his glass cup, his right arm on the head of his chair as he looked over the crowd. He took another drink, seeming to feel…..unnatural. It was all calm. Here they were….the ones battling the Heartless….sitting here….just sitting and waiting….doing something that normal people would do. Just sit down and enjoy the normal things in life. Sean began to feel that they were being taken for granted, the simple things. Through all this, they hardly had time to rest…..or plainly just sit down and be normal….just have a simple day. Personally….he was unsure if he missed those simple things…. Randall had stopped tapping his fingers, taking in a yawn and looking over at Vee. A grin plastered on his face. “Blue boy’s got the right idea…..” he said, adjusting himself in his seat, seeing as there was no tail hole. Sean held his glass with both hands, giving a slight chuckle to Randall’s words. “Heh…I bet you’re the one that misses rest Ran…” he said, taking another gulp. Randall shrugged. “Well yeah…gets harder and harder just to get a bed….heck….I wouldn’t mind a Heartless knocking me out for a bit if it meant I could sleep…” he joked. Sean smiled. That was Randall for ya. On the outside, a tough fighter. On the inside, a fun loving child. He would, sometimes, demean others….but then again….he would lift them up too if they knew what he was talking about. Sean was starting to wonder, among other things, about something. It seemed like him, Vee, and Randall were destined to do this together. Vee, he could understand. But Randall? Sure, he had no problem at all working together with his friend, he loved the choice….but why had Randall been chosen to accompany on this “quest”. In many eyes….he was pretty much a Heartless himself. It was that that made Sean think. If so little people understand Randall….then why did fates want him to be in this? Perhaps it was because that Randall was misunderstood. Perhaps helping to stop the Heartless would show his good side. Randall probably had his own reasons….but they both knew….they wouldn’t trade each other for the world. “I wouldn’t mind that….” Sean replied, holding up his glass, gesturing Randall to ching with his, which he did, both with smiles on their faces.

* “You didn’t really explain to me about what Jim was actually doing out there”. “Sarah…I know that your worried for Jim….but believe me…he’s safe…”. Dilbert and Sarah were up in the residential part of the Inn, where Sarah and….her son lived. Dilbert stood in the doorway, checking out the hall to see if anyone was there before closing it. Sarah was sitting on her bed, hands together. “Dilbert….you know ever since….what happened to the Legacy before I’ve always been worried…”. Dilbert held his hands to his overcoat. “Sarah…no need to worry….I’ve assigned the crew myself and…”. “Hopefully you didn’t make the same mistake you did last time…”. Dilbert held up a finger to object, but realized, she was right. She gave a sigh, clutching the locket with a hand. “I heard rumors Dilbert….” She said. “Rumors? W…What rumors?” he asked, nearly backing against the door. “That….Flint had been seen…that Jim’s going out to find him…” she said. Dilbert could see she was worried. She looked the same when she had talked about Jim’s rebellious acts a long time ago. She was probably worried to death everyday when he and Jim went to find Treasure Planet. Dilbert walked over, kneeling down in front of her. “Now….who told you bile lies like that Sarah?” he asked. “Your wife…”. Dilbert had his eyes wide for a moment. “Ohh…..I see…”. He rose, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Sarah…it’s ok…I’m told he found Flint’s skeleton with his treasure…protecting it to the end you can say…” he said. “Jim’ll be fine with me…and by how my guests handled that interruption in the square….and space pirate won’t stand a chance….”. Sarah nodded. She had to have faith in her son, and trust her friend. “What about them Dilbert? Those three I mean…” Sarah asked, trying to leave a hurtful topic. “Well…I don’t know them personally…I just met them this morning….but believe me…” he started, walking a few feet away. “They’re probably the most serious…fighters in the galaxy!”. * (Fling!) Sean shook his head as he saw Randall flip another grub into his mouth, tetter-tottering it with a spoon. When the wiggling creature found it’s way into his throat, with assistance from a forked tongue, Randall grinned. “That’s another five…” he said. Sean shook with a smile. “You know it’s just for fun Randall….”. The monster chuckled. “Heh…I’ll take that as an “I’ll pay ya later” then…”. The two had decided to take advantage of the calm situation, trying to push back the memories before. It was like time didn’t matter anymore. They had no Heartless to fight, no where to go…nothing to do now. It was…unnatural for them. Sean became uncomfortable. The array of different people and creatures around made him that way. Randall was feeling nearly the same way, trying to keep himself occupied by tapping the table, flipping another edible into his mouth, or rubbing his drinking glass of foreign liquid. Vee was still asleep, his chest heaving up and down in normal breathing, his tail shaking a bit with each breath. The crowd at theirs seats seemed to not pay them any mind at all, of course neither of them didn’t care about that. The voice and conversations became crowded themselves in their ears, all coming together into complete and utter gibberish. But it was like someone turned the volume down on life. Randall looked down into his glass, seeing the vibrates and ripples in the middle of the liquid. He stared over at Sean, who was equally feeling the same thing. It’s as if they locked themselves away from everyone else. The minutes seemed to drag on. Time seemed to stand still, then shifted on to later happenings. The crowd grew smaller and smaller, the light protruding through the windows growing darker and darker. Sean and Randall exchanged sitting stances. From backwards on a chair, to feet on table, to hanging on the walls. The two knew that silence between them had to end sometime. Vee stayed asleep, Sean had propped a wash cloth to the side of his head so the wood wouldn’t produce a disturbance. He went looking over the Inn’s structure to keep himself occupied. Randall had plopped down onto one of the middle tables, looking up at the ceiling. Time seemed to be something that passed quickly. Sean began wiggling through thoughts about what had happened…what they had been through. Just sitting here, being unable to do anything, with so much to do was unnatural. All those feelings in him. What to say to break the silence, what to do to promote motion. The calmness of the world, the empty building brought feelings of containment. He felt the world grow silent. Like an eclipse had taken the sun and, under the moon’s influence, people slept for ever. The only problem is…he felt like he was one who didn’t sleep. Randall was thinking of past events as well. He held a bottom hand to his chest, rubbing against his scales. Why wasn’t it there? Throughout his life, Randall had gain many kinds and many forms of scars. Why wasn’t Axel’s there. He didn’t really care, he was just glad that he was still alive, still not broken by the Heartless. He felt he was in Limbo. Like he was dead, but had not been judge for where to go. Then again, Randall was unsure where he would go after Limbo. Would the fates want him below for how the masses think of him…or will they accept him? Neither of the two knew what to say. Would it come out wrong? What should I say? I don’t want to ruin this. We’re still friends right? These were some of what they thought. What would speaking do? Would it help or would it harm? The two didn’t know what to do. The silence was getting strange. Whether they wanted it or not was something they had to decide. Sean didn’t want to talk about the event before, but he knew he had to. Randall didn’t know what to talk about…what good would it do?
Randall's little comment at the start really would remind you of what happened to the Inn before ^_^. Anyway. The all around "normality" of the place was what seemed to confuse us... Tell me what'cha think ^_^

Very in-depth ;D I like it ... good descriptions of the scenery and Sarah as well.
--“Now….who told you bile lies like that Sarah?” he asked. “Your wife…”. Dilbert had his eyes wide for a moment. “Ohh…..I see…”--
Hehe, that was great ^__^
Love how you said Randall's like a fun-loving child on the inside but a great fighter on the outside. ;D
As always, looking forward to more, Sean =)

Yeah. I wanted to get Sarah right with her still over churning care for Jim. And seeing as how everything just seems normal and us...well....no so normal added flavor.
Yeah ^_^ I liked that too. I wanted to get Dilbert in that spot ^_^
Yeah I liked that line. Truely....that's what Randall is. He opens up to those who get to know him well.
Yeah. Next chapter may introduce a bar fight! ^_^

I messed up slightly. Part of the last chapter was suppose to be part of this, it's short. Mainly reflects Randall's attitude toward past events.
“Randall…”. Randall turned around onto his stomach, gripping the chairs top with his upper hands, slightly surprised Sean was the one to break the silence. “Yeah?” Randall replied, wondering what would break the ice. Sean had his back to him, face hidden. Randall was a little worried, his hands were balled into fists. “About….what happened back there….in the castle…”. Randall shook his head. “We all promised not to talk about that S…”. Sean shook his head. “Till we had the time…and right now seems right…”. Randall was quite surprised at the interruption, fronds heading down slightly, but knew that he had to convince Sean that now was not the time to talk about it. “….Sean….I know that….what happened was kinda big for us all…” Randall started, hoping not to get interrupted. Randall opened his upper right hand, trying to at least show some motion other than talking, make himself more existent. “I mean….heck…every part of this has….” He said, a trying to produce a smile. When Sean didn’t reply, his smile fell. Seeing he was getting no where, Randall had to do something drastic. With a lower hand and a growl, he grabbed an idle spoon on the table and threw it. It hit Sean in the back, forcing him to turn around, and it fell with a clanging echo. Randall seemed to show no regret. On the contrary, he looked pretty mad. Sean was surprised at this. “….What’s wrong with you?” Randall asked, scooting up so that his feet were firm on the table. “Your suppose to be the leader….that….Keyblade Master or whatever…and here you are blaming yourself for something that wasn’t your fault…” Randall announced sternly. He pointed out a finger. “You….can’t…blame yourself alright” he said. Sean just starred. He hardly had seen or heard Randall do such things. The way Randall was talking was normal…around him at least. But this change did prove useful. It did show that Randall didn’t blame Sean for what happened. More so, Randall wanted to prove that to him. Maybe it was the silence in the Inn, or the fact that Randall’s rare stern attitude had appeared….but Sean knew that discussing such a thing so early…or at all would have to wait. “Err…emm…”. Randall tipped his head right, as did Sean for his left. For a moment, nobody did anything, till Randall got off the table. That was Sean’s cue to head over to their original table, coming behind the chair Vee was waking up in. Randall stayed near his table, leaning on it as Sean check up on him. Vee held the side of his head with his eyes closed. “Hey Vee….you ok?” Sean asked. Vee leaned in to the table, holding his forehead with a hand. “Ohh…what happened?” he asked, low tone. Sean smiled. “Just overdid it a little Vee…” he replied, patting the dragon’s back. “Ooh….why does my tail hurt?”. Sean grinned, looking up at Randall, who also had a grin on his face.

;D Another great chapter- I like how Randall stood up to you and told you not to blame yourself for what happened ^^ Sounds like something Randall would do ... actually pictured him really well leaping up on the table ^__^ Like a movie ... great job, Sean ;D
