Marvin's so cool. I want to take him home and have long meaningful discussions about the pointlessness of life and what it all means. then we could sit and listen to Echo and the Bunnymen, the Cure and Siouxie and the Banshee's whilst drinking ample cups of coffee. ah...the angst-y goth life... xxx

Coffee for moi, definately! Can"t drink champagne-do you have any idea how much sugar is in that stuff? That would be worse than drinking a Coke for me, with my diabetes. Besides, I don't need something to unwind with; I need something to keep me awake at my age!

Umm. I'm not underage. *cough* I hate coffee. Never tried champagne. Not because I'm underage, just...never tried it. *cough*

Yeah...I think one has to read the books before seeing. I was thrilled with it. Especially the opening sequence! *So long, so long and thanks for all the fish...* They missed some of the gags of the books but certainly kept the comedic tone with new ones. I love Adam's novels, despite smiting of Christianity right and left. I wish they had put in Marvin's "I spoke to the computer the whole time...It comitted suicide." something to that nature. Mostly British humour *Wow! Lot's of UKians here!), which is widely shared by Canadians, so I enjoyed it. The Vogons were so cute. So big and flabby! Pick em up and give them a great big hug! LOL

The Vogons are very dude, though cute...As Lil Bandit said, each to their own. And yes, I think the spade sequence was one of the best parts of the whole movie! ;D

Spade sequence? Hm? Silly me - I'm not sure I know what part you're referring to. I brought a towel I must confess - though I was set up by a few friends to be the only one with a oppulent towel looking like a dork. It's all good. I got the Marvin screensaver, and each time I go into my room where the computer is and it's on, I think momentarily there's a man outside the window! Gets me every time, I swear.
