There's also the fact that it's quite rare to see one of the main characters being killed.

"I could say the same about myself..."
I think it's been done before....but yeah...it's something you would always remember about the film.

There is amazing and moving Christian symbolism in the books. CS Lewis was so wise. I'm trying to get my hands on the Great Divorce. His characterisation of Aslan really fleshes out (though of course not totally) the characteristics of God I forget. His gentleness, his playfulness...I cried during the final scene in Prince Caspian. It moved me how he knew everyone he had join him before trhey even knew him, calling them "Dear Heart" and such. Oooh!
Back to Narnia..lol:p
I cried when I read the book, I cried harder when I saw the movie. I went twice, once with my mother who laughed and told everyone at church, and a friend who hugged me and asked if I needed to leave the theatre. HAHA! I have heard Disney has plans for Prince Caspian?
PS - Anyone else find Mr Tumnus oddly attractive?;D

Yeah I heard about that... I saw CS Lewis's name in a wikipedia entry I looked through for research. Forgot what it was though.
You heard that? Well they'll probably going to milk the franchise anyway.
"They're getting desperate by bringing Bambi back again...ooh...that little...mammal is SUCH a softy..."

Mmhmm. You feel such an attatchment to him, books and movie, but I found him to be...I don't know...better in the books.

PS - Anyone else find Mr Tumnus oddly attractive?;D Hell, yes. ;D His little beard, and ears, and scarf... Plus his legs were animated so well... and that scene with the tea and pipes, and that one where he finds out he was betrayed for sweets (*wibble*), and when he was frozen (I was like OMGNOMR.TUMNUUUUUUSSSS!!!!11!1! )... and pretty much ever scene in which he was there, I was squeeing like mad. ^_^ I know that C.S. Lewis incorperated a lot of religious elements into his books, and that he and J.R.R. Tolkein (author of the Lord of the Rings, for you heathens out there) were good friends back in the day, but I heard that C.S.Lewis was actually an atheist, and it was Tolkein who was the devout Roman Catholic. It's all very interesting to me, that Lewis would have all of this religious symbolism (LOTR does have its religious symbolism as well, but I believe that only once is the word "God" or "praying" mentioned in the entire thousand-page jaunt into Middle-Earth, which I find slightly ironic, but whatever). (Man, that was rambling)

"Uh hello! Me!? Hello!".
Don't be selfish ^_^
Personally...didn't worry much about the religion thing.

Hah hah hah! Yes, as a matter of fact I did. And in my opinion, I believe that Mr. Tumnus was one of the few Narnians who looked just like he was described in the books, aside from his tail should have been longer. But he was still perfect!! ^^

Y'know the part when Santa was chasing them? I forgot Santa was in the movie, since I saw the older one, and ... well, me and my brother were saying, "Santa Claus!!" And it really was. I was just joking around, lol ^^ I forgot.
Anyways ... I love Mr. Tumnus and I wrote a little something, but I didn't post it yet. It's with Tumnus and an OC- if anyone's interested in reading it PM me ^_^;
