YAY BOBBLE HEAD!! That's awesome. My mom....well I don't really know her exact feelings about him. I know she likes the movie overall, she likes all Disney or Disney/Pixar flicks. But something tells me if I asked her specifically what she thought of Randall, she'd give the same "bad guy" kind of response til I educated her...*sigh*

*imagines him nodding at his bobble head self* That's terrific. Wish I had one...used to have two doggie bobbleheads...was going to put them in my car, but I don't know where they got to...it was like a dalmatian and brown shepherd/doberman mix thing... And then my friend has the sumo wrestler bobble-figure thingy...

Before we write anything, though, we need to find out, once and for all, WHO will actually be making the sequel, and for that I guess we will have to wait until some official decision on the fate of Pixar/Disney. If the contract is NOT renewed, we will need to try to influence Disney, which might actually be easier since at least I DO have some contacts there. If it's Pixar, well, then, we need to "call out" John Lassetter on his televised statement! Either way, we definately will need more signatures than just the members here on this group. Most likely we will need a website to draw attention to the petition, since no one will sign the thing if they dont' know it exists! Sadly, though, a LOT of people feel that the movie ended perfectly, and don't want a sequel, or if they do, they would just as soon Randall stay gone...forever. A lot of people still hate him, even if they can't come up with any logically convincing arguements as to exactly WHY.

Right...wait till that...
Call in?
Who said anything a petition?
Well....if we need more people....well...we can't tell them to come here...heavens no........but perhaps we can inform Pixar (I honestly think they'll make it) of the fanbase Randall has...... RFU, Randall's Corner, here, and Boggs Blog...which had gone down but WAS there...

*nod* Quite right, quite right....umm... More people, of course, would be needed...we don't actually have that many names here. Only about 18 members, I think, and some aren't even here right now. There's always the idea of setting up an online petition, although I'm starting to think that go-petition.com site I used a few times wouldn't be the one to go to. Like pitbulllady said, lots of people might not want an MI sequel...and might not like Randall. That site lets people leave all kinds of ridiculous comments on other peoples' petitions. Stupid, if you ask me; you either sign or you don't sign. They always let people start arguments. Not that the comments amount to anything, they don't print out on the petition, but still. We could definitely inform Pixar about how many fans Randall has, yup.

Who said anything about a petition?!
Well....we here are the most knowledgeable.....we may be few...but we should make an impact...

That's true, and I think we will make an impact...just based on how devoted we are. ;D
...and I thought a petition was one of the first ideas suggested...it came up somehow.

Well yeah....see....we're...like....representatives....
Well....I came up with the first idea. It wasn't a petition though.... It was just us sending a group of E-mails with a name so Pixar know's it's a group.

Yeah, exactly! Giving them our ideas wouldn't be the same thing as trying to tell them what to do with the story. (Heh...I remember doing that when I was younger...writing to companies with my own brilliant ideas for their scripts and begging them to do it, as if they were gonna take a random little girl seriously!) There's always http://www.go-petition.com...if it's still working. I haven't been there in a long time. Or, just the big e-mail idea of Sean's sounds cool. It was Mirage who suggested a petition. Frankly, regardless of how much WE love Randall, 18 individuals out of how many millions of potential ticket buyers are NOT going to make an impact on ANYBODY! They aren't interested in anybody's knowledge of Randall, or like of him but whether or not a sequel with him in it, AND with him finding some sort of redemption, will be more profitable at the box office than one without him or with him returning as the "villain" and being defeated yet-again by the "noble" and "heroic" Sulley and Mike. THAT is the bottom line, like it or not. It will take a lot more than 18 individuals to convince any studio that Randall needs to return. That's why we need some way to really reach out to those other Randall fans out there, the ones who don't post here, or on IMDb, without attracting the idiots. A website devoted entirely to that, directing people to a petition, is the only way I know of, unless someone else can come up with something different. pitbulllady

How many do you propose there are Pitbulllady? Whats the difference? 30? 80? 90? They're still no topple to millions.....
Besides...there are many who do like Randall but do consider him a villain.....many would agree to what we say....many won't.....
We should at least try.....

Try WHAT? We don't even know yet who will be making the sequel, so we don't know who to start emailing or calling. THAT's gonna be the stickler-finding out who will be making the movie, while there is still time to influence somebody. At present, Disney is going ahead with it, but will they continue or turn it over to Pixar? I have read that on petitions, one signature counts as 30 individuals. That says a lot more than 18 individual emails, but it will likely take a multi-angled "attack" plan to succede. Still, we need to reach more people. I dunno, maybe there's a way to set this up through DeviantArt. I KNOW that there are lots of Randall fans on there, and maybe I can convince some of the legion of Buddy/Syndrome fans to back us up with the promise of harrassing the daylights out of Brad Bird until he agrees to bring HIM back(hey, it worked for fans of Sherlock Holmes when Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed HIM off)!
