They DO copy each other, heheh ^_^ They sure do! Right after Pixar announced the plot for Ratatouille, Dreamworks announced the production of Flushed Away, which is a story about... a RAT living in the SEWERS! Pretty original, huh? pitbulllady Like Finding Nemo and A Shark's Tale. SO annoying.

About Maddagascar vs. The Wild...... Who ripped off who I wonder? Given the fact that The Wild's animation is far less "cartoony" and it came out RIGHT afterMaddagascar, I think Disney did it first. Still not interested in watching The Wild though.... it strikes me as "Finding Nemo" meets Maddgascar

Well preferrably I watched the Wild to see how they portrayed Larry.

I might watch Ratatoie (sp?). Maybe. I did not watch TS2...I watch the Harry Potter movies and the Narnia ones, but MI is my favorite. It is just a shame we have to wait at keast four years for the sequel...

That's not known for certain you know, it's only SPECULATION, and speculation, no matter how strong, can NEVER be known with 100% certainty. Speaking before events happen or are known aren't a good idea. It's best to wait since NO ONE can predict the future. Just because something doesn't seem "likely" doesn't mean it WON'T happen. Heck a Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor seemed "highly unlikely" in 1941 because we believed in the old boundaries of treaties and neutrality plus we considered NO ONE in their right mind would attack our BIGGEST Pacific Naval Base but look what happened. Back then the power of the aircraft was STILL not being recognized and the warship was still considered the strongest unit of the armed forces. When accepting pre-held views and beliefs, whole civilizations are prone to a rather jolting wake-up call.
As far as Ratatouille goes, to me it looks like one of the best ones yet. I plan to obtain premiere tickets for myself and a close associate ^_^

I think Sulley would be having some serious reservations about being CEO by now. He's just not the on-top business type. Of course, Mike will be pressuring him to hold onto that position, for MIKE'S sake. Boo's family(perhaps the standard Disney-esque single mom scenario)moves away from their address at the time of the last movie, so Sulley loses contact with her temporarily.Along with her mom, her new home happens to be with relatives in southern Louisiana, and those relatives(grandparents, aunt and uncle, maybe)also happen to have taken in a boarder of sorts, who earns his keep as a general handyman...uh, make that handyMONSTER. Boo barely remembers Randall, and he does not at first recognize her, since she's changed so much since he last saw her, and she was just a toddler when she last saw him, but right away they are uncomfortable around each other, and Boo's mother does not trust Randall at all, simply because he does not "fit" her notion of how the world should "work". Gradually, though, a sort of bond builds between the former Scarer, and his former ScarEE, based around something they have in common: a love of horses. You see, as a teenager, the only foster home where Randall ever felt welcome and felt like he was part of a family was at a facility run by retired Monsters, Inc. Scarer, the late "Fangs" McDonald, and it was a ranch-style facility for troubled youth that used "equine therapy", involving the youth learning how to socialize, care for and train wild horses and get them ready for adoption. It was while there that Randall discovered a knack with horses, who were the first living things that he'd interacted with who did not judge him. Mary(Boo's real name) also, like many little girls, is crazy about horses, though she's never been around any real ones. Her relatives there in Louisiana USED to own and breed Creole horses(a nearly-extinct breed native to Louisiana, descended from the original Spanish Andalusians brought over by de Soto's Conquistadores in the 1500's), but they have gotten too old and no longer have them, only the stables where horses used to live. Following Hurricane Rita, Mary hears a strange sound in the bayou behind the house, and stubbornly defying her elders, wanders off into the swamp to find what is making the sound. Only Randall sees her leave, and already concerned that he will be blamed if anything happens to her, due to her mother's open distrust and hostility, he sets off after her... Meanwhile, Sulley is having a lot of problems and M.I. The new president of the BOD is an old friend of Mr. Waternoose, and feels that Sulley does not deserve the position and cannot handle it. Stocks have leveled off due to a "glut" of energy, which forced prices down. Sulley is also stressed over Boo moving away, and the possibility that he will never see her again. If that's not bad enough, the highly-publicized trial of Henry J. Waternoose is finally approaching, and one of his lawyers totally has it in for the current CEO. In a preliminary hearing, the legal defense team convinces the judge to throw out the most compelling piece of evidence against the old crab-that video-taped confession, in which he declared his intentions to kidnap 1,000 children if it would save the company, as constituting Entrapment. Now, ironically, Sulley's simmering guilt over what he and Mike did to Randall is coming to fruition, as the attorneys are close to having a mistrial declared because a key witness, Mr. Boggs, is nowhere to be found. A deadline is established for Randall to be located, and if he does not show up, the judge will declare a mistrial, and Waternoose will walk free! Sulley is now faced with having to find Randall in the Human World, starting at the last place they left him-Louisiana, while fearing that the worst did indeed happen to his former antagonist. The big issue will be how people can change, and how former "enemies" can learn to tolerate each other, and in some cases, even become friends. It also deals with the importance of friendship and family over prestigious careers, and of forgiveness most of all. pitbulllady WOW. I like this idea, personally. I think you tend to come up with some of the most interesting idea, pbl.

According to Wikipedia, three theme parks have/will introduce Monster's Inc. theme attractions. The one to do so already saw its attendence raised. Is this a good omen for the future of a sequel?

While it's true that W.A.L.-E IS the "working title" for Pixar's next film, keep in mind that many, if not the majority, of films do NOT wind up with the same name that they were filmed uder. Monsters, Inc., for example, was called "The Hidden City" until it was actually in post-production. Filmmakers do this to "throw" off Hollywood reporters and speculators. RUMOR has it that it's about a robot, and since this is just a rumor, that may or may not be true. Another very, very important word to the wise-BE VERY SKEPTICAL about most of the stuff you read on Wikipedia.com, especially where tv and movies are concerned. There is a LOT(and I mean a LOT)of false and misleading information posted there, since anyone and everyone can edit or create articles for Wikipedia. I know from experience that a lot of what is posted there is false. Some of it is simply put there by well-meaning, but misinformed, individuals, but there's also a great deal of deliberately-posted inaccuracies. Some people, many of whom hate the particular studio/genre/tv series/movie, etc. that they're posting about, will put up false and sometimes derrogatory or obscene "information" to intentionally mislead or anger fans. This happens a lot with the article and info for "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends", for example, especially where the upcoming episodes are concerned. So many fake episodes have been posted there, it's almost funny. We have had people who were obsessed with getting one of their fanfics accepted as a script on the show, who posted the information from their "script" as if it were canon, even though it was totally disturbing and would certainly NEVER, EVER be accepted on the show(I'm talking stuff like a 22-year-old woman French-kissing an eight-year-old boy). So, bottom line-do not trust what you read on Wikipedia about anything entertainment-related that has yet to be, and therefore cannot be verified by simply watching the movie or tv series in question. pitbulllady

I don't DOUBT that the movie is being made, but that doesn't mean it will keep that same title, or the same release date. The release date for "Cars" was changed from a fall 2005 to summer 2006, to coincide with the peak NASCAR season, while that of "The Incredibles" was moved up from the summer to fall of 2004 to avoid competing with the usual throng of summer action films.
And, on the comingsoon.com site, did anyone else notice that Dreamworks is doing a movie with MONSTERS? A bit late, but inevitable.

Something else to think about...what if John Goodman or Billy Crystal should die? Would that end any hope of a sequel? On the other hand, by the end of the next decade we should be able to have "fanflicks"...those might be interesting.
