At this time, none of us knows that. We do know that IF there is a sequel, Pixar will make it, but just which one of their team will be in charge, or whether or not they will even bother listening to anyone, remains unknown. A few years ago, a member on this board gathered up a petition via her own website, and sent it to them, but never got so much as a reply indicating they'd received it. Unfortunately, they probably get swamped with scripts and fanfiction all the time, and are not allowed to read those, so they probably assume that anything they receive from the general public will fall into those categories.

Hmm, yeah, it remains to be seen whether it would actually make a difference or not, but even if you wanted to anyway, I don't have any address or anything for Pixar.

All we can do so far is research till we're ready to make a statement.

If only one of us worked at Pixar, and maybe get to be heard.

Sigh... If you go by rumor, the 2009 Pixar movie will be W.A.L.-E (probably a robot) If Pixar goes by money, it will be Nemo 2 If Pixar goes by chronology, it will be Bugs Life 2 Looks like we won't see Monsters Inc. 2 in this decade.

Well we already know Bug's Life 2 is not a realistic possibility though it still remains a remote chance, just highly improbable. W.A.L-E. so far is just a rumor and we're hoping it stays that way for now. Also take into account that Disney may step up production now that they have merged and we'll be seeing possibly 2 movies a year.

And there won't be Nemo 2 for certain- Pixar unanimously decided that they'd had enough of fish. And since Monsters, Inc. 2 has been mentioned alongside The Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 3 several times now, it's one that they're considering, it seems.

My understanding is that Toy Story 3 is a definite yes. Afterward, if it is a choice between Incredibles 2 or Monsters 2, I think Monsters has a slight edge. Incredibles is too recent, and only did marginally better than Monsters...and some of that is inflation and population growth.

Yes, because with each Pixar film, more people are becoming aware of Pixar as a highly developed CGI film making company.
Also, apparently there was concept art that hadn't been used for the original MI that had been found somewhere by a member of Pixar Planet, if I remember correctly...MI2 is a possibility, I think.

Toy Story 3 is already in production and a plot has already been issued.
Actually Incredibles ALSO has an edge. Thanks to a new game and the ending supplied, it would deal with that...mole guy heh.
Concept Art Cool?

Well no, Pixar retook over Toy Story 3 and they completely scrapped Disney's plot. It's UNKNOWN what they're going to do with it.
Well actually, the video game WAS the follow up, remember? ^_^

Yes, it was like that as soon as they merged, Pixar scrapped them almost immediately.
Yep ^_^
