Yay for Randall! I'm not really surprised, though. I mean, who's obviously the best of the bunch? I'll give ya three guesses, and you won't need the last two. LOL.

Ah yes, IMDB stupidity! Some of the things said on there... I don't see why anyone would say Randall "hated" Boo. There is no evidence of that - at all. I thought he held her rather gentle during the door vault escapade. Hmm...a new thread perhaps? Don't respond to this post!

Well I'll explain it here anyway heh heh ^_^
Randall actually SAVED Boo from slipping out of Sullivan's hands, who was rather more concerned with commenting Wazowski on slamming the door on Randall's fronds.
"Err...."
And he NEVER spoke rationally to her and actually took CARE of her as best he could. He even was taking her back to the door at the end, since the Extractor was un-operational (It wasn't completely destoryed, but unsuable).
One thing new, that none of us have said, was that he handled the "box" well. The box with which he was going to put the kid in to take her down into the Refinery. Instead of just throwing it around, he tried his best not to hurt whomever was inside.

The thing I hate most about those idiots on the IMDb is when you correct the most obvious mistakes they made- Randall 'hating Boo', for example- and they get all stressy and always revert back to their opinion of Mike/Sulley being better than Randall yet having no real proof whatsoever! It makes me wanna throttle them!!!

Just proves they don't prod deeper into such things to make a good point at all.
"Wait till the sequel then they won't be gordons...."

And that's another very valid reason for an MI sequel- to prove all of these idiots wrong!

That is if anybody besides us watchs.... You know....it might actually be a good thing that some people don't remember M.I.....cause if they don't remember much...then they might actually LISTEN to Ran in the sequel and might even feel a gut of sympathy...

Speaking of which, does anyone know what I could do to ask Pixar or Disney for a Monsters Inc. sequel and to make Randall the main character? At this point, not much, I'm afraid. We really need to wait to see if Pixar and Disney will manage to negotiate a new deal, since that will likely determine IF there will be a sequel to ANY of the Pixar films, and who will be doing them. If they DON'T get back together, then Disney will likely go ahead with it's plans to make the sequels, while if they DO get back together, the new deal might require Pixar to make sequels to their very successful movies, or the two might actually collaborate on sequels, OR they might agree that there should be no sequels at all. There's just a lot that's "up in the air" at this point. Until we know specifically IF there will be BE a sequel, and WHO will make it, there's no point in trying to convince either of them. Even then, things can be tricky. Officially, people from major studios or even tv/cable networks aren't allowed to even read any ideas submitted by fans, according to Lauren Faust(Cartoon Network). I'm not even sure whether or not people from Disney Feature Films or Pixar even acknowledge any suggestions from fans, really. Joy(aka "Ranger Parsec") collected many signatures on a petition to include Randall in a sequel and sent it to Pixar-never heard a thing from them, so they probably never even read it. I'm sure they get unsolicited scripts everday, which they aren't allowed to read. If a real movie script ends up being even remotely similar to something a person sends in, unsolicited, that person will probably want financial compensation, even if it really wasn't his/her script in the first place. The only way I know of is to find an "insider" who can pass the word along that there are a lot of people who would like to see Randall return in the sequel, and to redeem himself in some way, but first, like I said, we have to find out which-if any-studio will be handling the sequel, and that is going to depend on Mr. Iger and Mr. Jobs. pitbulllady

Don't respond to this post! *responds to this post* Well, seeing how pissed he looked from having to chase Boo around, I'm really just surprised he bothered hanging onto her whole body instead of dangling her by, say, a limb or a pigtail. She was probably just a thorn on his side rather than a full-blown problem to the Monster world, as Waternoose perceived. I really didn't see any real concern for Boo on Randall's features; he just had this "let's get it over with" expression imprinted on his face. His mind was set on dumping the kid off at (insert place you all theorized on) in one piece and getting the hell out. Nah, I didn't see any actual animosity directed at her in any way either. He just seemed annoyed, and he very well makes a point of it when he muffles her whiny protesting by holding her monster costume against her mouth during the door chase scene. It was probably meant to make him look mean, but it was just Randall's first initial reaction to spare himself a migraine.

Also, I always thought that because he realised that the reason why Boo was whining a bit was because she was afraid, and so he held her closer to his chest, hoping to make her feel more secure and therefore shut her up, perhaps?

"What is with you today Greenstars!? Hey! I didn't want to hurt the kid alright! Heck...if I was in the same position, I get why she was so scared of me ok! I wasn't annoyed. Sure. I wanted to get this thing over with. But it's not like I didn't care about the kid! I spent the ENTIRE night looking for her! Do you even think that for ONE moment I cared!? OF COURSE I DID!!!!!!!!"
Jeez....Ran...
"What? I'm not a Heartless ok....and personally I'm taking Greenstar's post as an insult"

It really doesn't look that way. Watch that segment, specifically Randall's arm movement, and you'll see what I mean. You don't even really need to see it more than twice to catch it. Randall is holding Boo in his right arm, she starts to protest, and then he muffles her effortlessly with the neck of the overgrown costume. It's mild, but still there.

"Uh lets see...we're probably...I don't know....I don't remember the measure...but...lets just say that if she had slipped out of my arm...well....no amount of sky diving lessons would save her now would it?"
