I've forgotten the exact items but in the background you can sometimes read labels, adverts etc saying what the monsters eat. Well some of these things are poisonous, or at least very bad for us. Does this mean our food would be poisonous to them? Monster's bodies must work differently on a biochemical level to digest some of those thing, but if they're evolved from humans that can't be the case. The fact the eat things like 'Bag o' calories' and 'Salt and Sugar' (I think I remember seeing those names) would probably indicate a higher metabolism.

Huh? Where'd that come from. In any case, they may just be the names of the food, or a catch phrase.
Monsters eat things like "Cream of Aardvark", "Grubs", "Bettles", such things are more to satisfy the...."animal" gene in a monster...
Although, their human gene would make them enjoy normal human food... With their monster gene, they most likely gain the benefits and/or downfalls of the species in which they relate. Eating habits and such can follow.
Take Randall for instance. A canivor of course. Sure....he enjoys pasta, breads, and such things like that....but sometimes his reptilian traits let him eat things that may seem...."difficult" for us to eat....

Those things wouldn't be poisonous to us, just not culturally acceptible to many humans. That does not mean, I can assure you, that there aren't plenty of humans who don't eat 'em! Just watch the "National Geographic" network sometimes!
"Bag o' Calories"? "Salt N' Sugar"? That's just TRUTH IN ADVERTIZING! Read the ingredients on some of your favorite snacks and THEN tell me you don't eat the same darn things! The monsters are just being honest about what's in their junk food, that's all! A HUGE percentage of foods we eat are in fact little more thatn sodium, sucrose, fats and preservatives, but we call 'em "Cheese Puffs", or "potato chips" or "Captain Crunch cereal".
I can guarantee that many older humans here in the South have eaten things that would turn even Randall's stomach! My grandfather's favorite breakfast was scrambled, fried hog brains with ketchup, and you can still buy canned hog brains at supermarkets around here. There is a festival in Salley, South Carolina, devoted to chitlins, which are cooked hog intestines, and there are lots of people who do eat those! I've also seen chocolate-covered bees in supermarkets, and I have to admit that Yours Truelly has eaten stir-fried meal worms with garlic and butter sauce, and they weren't half-bad, either! Ever read the ingredients on a can of potted meat? "Fear Factor" In A Can!

Yeah, and since Monsters and Humans have the same sort of DNA, just slightly modified, Monsters probably eat things that we wouldn't usually eat, like eyeballs, but that wouldn't be technically poisonous to us.

"Fried Hog Brains?.....Ehh....I've eaten live chickens before....oh heck....I hunted allot of live bait....err...bad memories..."
How about those clams in Deja Vu?
"Oh don't remind me....I CAN handle spicy food I don't care what anyone says..."
Uh huh...sure buddy...
"What!? I can!"

I suppose you're right. And I do know that humans can eat some things that soud strange in this culture, I mean MY favourate food in the world is whole baby octopus and squid. And i do know what goes in junk food, that's why I never touch the stuff. You're probably right Pitbulllady, monsters are just more honest about there junk food. Also low fat may not be so fasionable in the monster world so advertisers would want to highlight how fattening their product is. Then again there WAS that monster that swept up the street then ate the contents of his dustpan, that can't be good for anybody.

Then again there WAS that monster that swept up the street then ate the contents of his dustpan, that can't be good for anybody. That's a point- it's probably the case that most monsters eat things that wouldn't be harmful to us, but there are one or two exceptions, I guess.

I love sushi, but is IS expensive, and I can only eat two or three rolls, since the rice used in sushi is really high in sugar(I'm diabetic). It's really good, though, even the outer covering of seaweed tastes good!

Wow, Pitbull Lady! I knew they had a colourful palatte in the South but...yikes! I thought "Spam" was bad. That just sounds like a nightmare to a picky eater like me.
I did catch the "Bag-o-Calories" thing. I thought it was really cute.
Sushi makes me feel sick. Me finks it is an acquired taste?

The dried seaweed's my favourite part. ;D But, like, even some normal foods are liked by few people- anyone here like prunes?
