I'm just trying to think up any discussion. I know me and Pitbulllady have talked about this, but I'm unsure, wanted to know everyone's opinions.
So how old you guys think Boo is?
Pitbulllady say's 4 I think, the books say 2. Anybody?

How about 3? ;D Well, logically she's going to be around that age, judging on her size, how well-formed her language is, etc., though 2 does seem a little too young to me...

No, Pitbulllady has always stuck by Boo being two; I've been around wAAAAAyyy too many little kids and had far too many Child Developement classes to attend not to know a two-year-old when I see one. My own neice, Sydney, is now at that same developement stage that Boo was in, and she's 2 1/2. She babbles in this "pidgen" that's part recognizable English, part baby gibberish and part some language all her own. She's into EVERYTHING, and she'll whop you upside the head with a plastic baseball bat(or whatever else she can get her hands on)in a split second if she's mad! In our state, four-year-olds are required to attend Kindergarten, so I see this age at school. It's hard to imagine Boo being in a real school setting.

Well, I don't have much, if any experiance with children, especially at the age we're talking about here- I'm not too keen on kids, to say the least. ;D So, I'll trust Pitbulllady's opinion on this one.

I'm going with 2 or 2 1/2. I long time ago thought she was 4, but then I met my 2-year-old cousin and that changed my opinion a bit. ^_^

I also agree with the two to two 1/2 assessment. I babysat a kid last summer who turned three in the months that I was babysitting her, and she could almost speak full sentences (she could say short ones, but the longer ones needed work). She knew the meaning of the majority of the words she was saying. So, if that's a three year old, I'd have to say that Boo's less than a year younger than her.
Yay! Logic! ;D

Yeah I suppose...I haven't seen many two year olds...so Boo's size made me wonder.

Boo is about the same size as my 2 1/2-year-old neice. Sydney still thinks my tarantulas are cats, by the way. Sydney has a lot of the same "dance" moves that Boo does, too, including that turning-around-until-she-gets-dizzy thing. She can speak in complete sentences-they just aren't complelely ENGLISH sentences! A lot of it is her own language interspersed with recognizable words.

Like Boo! ;D I wonder if Monster children develop at the same speed as Human children...?

Yep. She's two. My own two-year-old nephew (my cousin's son) talks and acts the same way as she does.

Yep. She's two. My own two-year-old nephew (my cousin's son) talks and acts the same way as she does. Both of my nieces went through that same stage, between the age of two and three, when you could tell they were TRYING to form sentences, but it still came out as babble, while certain words were really strong. The youngest will soon be three, and she's just, all of a sudden, started speaking in sentences and making sense, like, within the last week. She still thinks all furry animals are "puppies", much as Boo associated all furry animals with being "kitties", even furry things that were over 8 feet tall and walked on two legs! Many years ago, a friend of mine's kid went through that same stage, only he thought that all animals with STRIPES were "kitties", and that included my brindle Pit Bull Terrier and my Eastern Kingsnake! He's in high school now, and we still love to kid him about, "remember when you thought a snake was a CAT?" The real clincher for Boo being a two-year-old, though, is that screaming tantrum she throws in the apartment when Mike snatches the Teddy bear away from her(it's clear that she's not the only one with maturity issues there, only SHE is the only one with a good excuse)-NOTHING can shriek like an upset "Terrible Two-ster"! pitbulllady

It seems that their vocal chords develop a lot quicker than their actual bodies do. XD
