Well, most kids are afraid of calculous ^0^ I've heard a little of the conversation myself using a faint block out method. So it's there, just hard to hear. Yeah...to imagine what REALLY goes on in Fungus's head 0_0 Probably due to Fungus that their not there ^0^ I was good at math until the later years.....when our teachers stated to the class at the start "You will NOT use this in real life"

At least, I never have, and I don't know of anyone else who has, either. I honestly don't see why it's taught. Things would be better off if kids, especially from Jr. High on up, were taught actual SKILLS they'd need in real life and on the job instead of meaningless garbage, and I'M a TEACHER! pitbulllady

I agree. I know for sure my future won't include such math -_- That's why I liked Accepted, with it's open ciruculum (word -_-). Sure, the basics, ok...but what's the point of learning something your not going to use in your future?

My future hopefully won't include much maths... I want to be a zooligist and hopefully do my dream of working with sharks . Your future, dear, will unfortunately include TONS of maths! ANY Science degree involves you taking a lot of math, and I mean a LOT! I've got a Biology degree with emphasis on vertebrate Zoology, and I had to bite the bullet every college semester. Fortunately, I had a roommate who was a "math person", and I dated a bona fide geek(complete with Fungus-style glasses, no less), so I had some assistance in pulling through that painful process! The only math that really benefited me at all was Probability and Statistics, which is useful in calculating things like population increases/decreases, that sort of thing. pitbulllady

Yes. And you have lettering like A's, B's and C's right? We have the same when we reach GCSE's... and I also plan to go to UNI if possible. Ok, I think the highest you can get at the end of the year is a Level 8, but that would be rock hard in my opinian. I've been told I'm working at a Level 6 now. You remember that Randall story I wrote with the 4 genere's? I recieved a Level 7 from my English teacher who loved it, and then the head of English said it was worth a Level 8, the highest you can get! I nearly fainted when the teacher told me

We don't have reports here, just essay type things, and I'll say it again, we're encouraged to do loads of pages. I'm glad you got away with it though ;D Our punishments here are kind of bad. It works in stages really: Stage 1: Warning Stage 2: 2nd Warning Stage 3: Remove Room for rest of lesson and 1 hour afterschool Stage 4: Isolation for a day Stage 5: Isolation for few days Stage 6: Suspension for a few days
