You know, I just thought of something. Doesn't Pixar generally attach a teaser trailer for their next film in their movies (excluding Easter Eggs)? If so...means there would be one attached to Cars 2?
....Actually I JUST checked Wikipedia to recall which movie it was and noticed something....seems Brave is (at least to this) coming out in 2012...and if there's order here...BEFORE M.I. of the same year. July it seems. Which means...two months between them. Ho ho. Does this mean development for M.I. may be pulled back and that there is still a process going on? Could this be re-consideration?
Yeah there's a link to where they got this "info" under Brave.

Good find, RandallBoggs.
It's certainly a possibility, but, considering that the release date WAS officially announced, I'm not going to hold my breath.

*rubs temple* Yes, they had announced, rather quickly, the release date of the sequel. However...what does this mean for a trailer? Will it be attached to Cars 2, giving us perhaps another year of analyzing what could become? Or will it be on Brave? 2012 seems to be the first year Pixar will be dishing out TWO films...

Are you suggesting that what film it will be for will determine how long until M.I.2 is released? 2012 seems to be the first year Pixar will be dishing out TWO films... I personally am going to take their word on THAT, at least; they ARE getting large, after all.

Pixar announced a few years ago that they planned to step up production to release 2 movies per year, instead of one every 18 months-two years. Technology and their own success has allowed them to do this.
I would think that the trailer for MI2 will be released much earlier than Brave, which is only a few months prior to the sequel's release, so it would likely be released with Cars 2, and possibly another one could be attached to a DVD release, TS3 maybe.

Well RB, they are techinically the main characters of the film so them more or less being center stage is normal. I wonder if any games will be produced from this film, if so PLEASE no spin off titles, I bought Pinball Panic, reviewed it on my site, and wasn't as thrilled as I hoped. It would be nice that if they do produce any games from this film that they ACTUALLY be based off of the film and have events of it. For me basically that means no prequel nothing, no dodgeball knockoffs, and please no pinball.

I'm aware of that Mystica...but when you center stage people again, mainly to drum up...*rubs temple* Guess I'm unsure how to explain what I was getting at.

Just to set your mind at ease, RB, this might NOT be a legit poster, since that is NOT the first time that Mike and Sulley have appeared in that exact same pose, with the exception of Mike's face being covered up. One of the little "board books" I have that came in a set actually has this on the front, and it was published along with the original movie. I've also seen this on the cover of one of the games, can't recall which one, though, but I've seen it on Ebay more than once. You would think that if Disney-Pixar is going to release a teaser poster, that they would at least have an original image instead of recycling one that's been around for the past 9 years.

Agreed, pitbulllady. I had noticed that those poses were previously used, myself.

True...I had thought this was a little too sophistocated to be fan-created, but I admit even I have not searched for such in legitament material. *taps lip* One of these days I have to get that Villain book...there's a rather strange pose of Randall on there.

Regardless of the poster being legit, was anyone else amused by the fact that Wazowski got covered up? I giggled for a few minutes.
But, back on topic... I would hope the trailer for MI2 is attached to Cars2... It would make the most sense. But I would like to know where MI2's actually going... Like, is Randall coming back, or Waternoose? I'd hope for the latter, unless somehow we get a redemption theme for Randall.

I've seen the "Disney Villains" book; don't waste your time. There is no new revelations about Randall in it, only the same-old, same-old "He's an evil jeolous reptile who is out to de-thrown Sulley by any means possible and resorts to building a horrible machine to torture little children, yada yada yada" crap. The book tries to exonnerate Waternoose by harping on about how HE was "just concerned about the company going under" and kept emphasizing his "grandfathery" characteristics. pitbulllady

That I pretty much guess PBL. Though the...sorta "sitting" position you sorta see Randall in on the cover of the book seems unique to it.

The more you learn, I guess.
