Hello all you happy people.
Just recently I have been thinking about things, and I've feel that I may have a thought concerning Randall.
It seems Randall did have a tragic life, having his family taken away, and then having no one else to love him. As a result, he grew a little bitter, and a little hateful at the world, but I also imagine that he feels that he has no value to the world.
When Randall was "presented" with the S.E. project, Randall may have been a little hesitant due to its illegalarity, but I also imagine that he felt it an oppertunity to show himself to the world that he IS worth something, helping Advert the Scream Shrotage and all that.
Perhaps the sleep deprivation and all that helped Waternoose make Randall do and think things he wouldn't otherwise. Also Waternoose would fuel his desprite desire to be someone by helping Sullivan win the Scarer of the Month award 36 months in a row.
Randall probrably didn't think that the machine was lethal, and didn't think it would cause much moral compromise. Probrably the only time he found out what that machine was capable of is when Fungus 'somehow' became a test subject.
With that, I imagine Randall must've felt sorry for 'boo' when she was about to be tested on, but he probrably still felt that the S.E. was worth. When Sulley destroyed that machine, maybe Randall's psycology health completly failed or something, dreams shattered and all that. That little chase was fuled not only by Waternoose's demand to get rid of 'witnesses', but also a little revenge for destroying the machine he worked so hard on. After he felt defeated... well, he felt defeated. This may sound sordid, but I wouldn't put it past Randall to not resist the world destroying him, or commiting suicide himself, since he no longer felt life worth living.
... then again, we all know better.
What are your comments on this? Am I way off, or am I just repeating what everyone else on this board knows and I just jumped on the Bandwagon. Either way, somehow thinking about this seemed to connect the puzzle pieces in the best way concerning this issue.
(... one more note... I hate reading or writing tragic stuff like this, and it does make me feel a little sorry for our fav. monster.)
* Gives Randall a big hug *
