Agreed. The only issue I see with this approach, however, is that my very first post, as you know, revealed that I was a Randall fan, so I fear some may already figure it out.

*shakes head* No matter. You didn't give any concrete facts that you understand that he is certainly no villain. *shrugs* They may just think of you of liking him as a villain. *chuckles* Imagine their surprise when your vid is watched ^0^

I hope you're right.
In any case, I will be able to start revising the video again soon. I probably should add music (most likely instrumental), among other things, as the guidelines implied all videos needed audio of some sort.

*nods* Don't worry...besides, not like you'll have backup hm hm hm.
Instrumental is a good idea. Kinda reminds me of the film noir or Godfather like idea really...

I've also decided to add a credits scene, in which a short piece from StarCraft will be used (If you want to hear it, search for "Zerg Victory" in the iTunes store). Don't worry, I'm thinking of mellower music for the main feature, possibly even ambient music.

*chuckles* Happen to have played and own StarCraft myself. Good game. And funny enough, the Zergling is actually origined in reptilian species if I'm not mistaken ^_-

Actually, I only played the game a little , though I am interested in the upcoming sequel. It's just that I found the soundtrack in the iTunes store, and I really enjoyed it. Anyway, you familiar with Brian Eno? I'm considering one of his not-so-happy pieces for the main feature. If so, you'll probably know what atmosphere I'll be developing.

Good game, good music too *nods*
Haven't heard of him I think.

No? Well, the atmosphere I plan to develop is supposed to sound somewhat sad, so as to indicate what Randall has been through.

In fact, I think I'm going to upload the revisions to YouTube before submitting it to the contest, just to let you guys see the changes (including the music) exclusive for Pixar Planet.

I also forgot to mention: what we were apparently talking about earlier in the thread, RandallBoggs, were the video CATEGORIES, not the universal video THEME; I got a response from the person who's running the contest, saying that it will actually be revealed at the end of August, most likely the same day the contest begins. (S)he did mention that previously made videos could be used, but I'm not sure (s)he's thinking what we are.
I only hope this theme is VERY broad.

Heh. Hope so too.
My critique- don't make it sound like you're blaming Boo so much. Blaming a two year old for not seeing things is not going to gain much sympathy for the cause as it were.
Also although rigging numbers is possible, the slumber party part is doubtful. Monsters are matched to specific kids and they stick to those kids if we go by what we see in canon. It just happened that Sulley's 'kid' had a slumber party. Pure dumb LUCK in that case!

I guess I can sway away from the contest for a little while and go back on topic. Though I will keep your thoughts about Boo in mind when I need to do major revisions (such as for the contest), the thing about the scores (even the slumber party bit) is: the video is a summary of what all of Randall's fans have written on this board and its previous incarnations; I'm just compiling .

Also although rigging numbers is possible, the slumber party part is doubtful. Monsters are matched to specific kids and they stick to those kids if we go by what we see in canon. It just happened that Sulley's 'kid' had a slumber party. Pure dumb LUCK in that case! Yeah, BUT...it was too much of a coincidence that this happened immediately after A)Randall topped Sulley on the Scare Board and B)Waternoose came onto the Scare Floor. The juxtaposition of those three things-Randall's achieving the top Scarer rank, Waternoose's arrival, and Sulley "just happening" on a slumber party is, in the words of Blooregard Q. Kazoo, " Suspiiiiiiiiiicious"! Waternoose, after all, would be able to control what monsters are assigned to what kids, as he would have access to that information, and he could also manipulate the way the board itself totalled Scream intake to favor one particular Scarer, making that Scarers totals show up as more than they actually were, or, in the reverse, causing one Scarer's Scream totals NOT to show up and be tabulated in their entirety. Thus, while Randall and Sulley might have actually collected an equal number of Screams in the same time frame, some of Randall's might have failed to make the count, making it appear as though his totals were less. I would not put it past Waternoose for one second, and it would certainly be to his advantage to do that, in that it would insure that Randall didn't get too deep within his "comfort zone" and have second thoughts about the risky proposition he was undertaking. It is simply inconceivable to me, as a professional, to believe for one split-second that Sulley was simply THAT good at what he did that he could remain the top-ranked Scarer, out of all those Scarers in that factory, for months on end, uninterrupted, or that he'd be worthy of Employee of the Month for a whole year, out of all the employees, Scarers and otherwise, at that factory. No one will convince me of that, or persuade me to accept that he was just that good, that ANYONE can be that good at their job, and that was no dishonest, behind-the-scenes tampering and rigging going on SOMEWHERE that would ensure that this ONE employee stayed on top. The fact that James P. Sullivan also happened to have been close friends with the CEO does not help rebut the notion of Waternoose being behind Sulley's meteoric rise to success and his remaining there in the Top Scarer rank, either. Sulley himself was most likely clueless, and like most of the things that happened to him, he simply took it all in stride and really didn't think too much about WHY or HOW. pitbulllady
