I've bathed Mastiff breeds, too; I used to have a Dogue de Bordeaux, or French Mastiff, and I currently have Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs, which are related to Great Danes and look like a somewhat smaller, stockier version of that breed, and of course I've always had American Pit Bull Terriers, which are the ultimate drip-dry, wash-n-go breed. Even the biggest Mastiff, though, is a breeze to wash compared to a double-coated breed like a wolf or Akita, something that is designed to survive in sub-zero blizzard conditions. The wolves' height made them easier; it was almost like bathing a horse or pony, and yes, many were over six feet tall standing on their hind legs and on all-fours, their ears came up nearly to my collar bone, but then, I'm what you might call "vertically-challenged".

Knower of random facts?
And Randall, as he's stated more than once, is glad he doesn't have fur ^0^
Can't imagine what red-neck ways they use to get bubble-gum out of fur a Pitbulllady? *nudges* ^_^
Maybe something like that ^_^ Either that or they pay some guy who can blow breath like a dryer to do that ^0^
He probably does it before and afterwork...though probably in the middle too for a rainy day. --------------------------- Yep, that's pretty much the process I do ^0^ Of course me and Ran both exclaim that "I appreciate the tree-huggers...but I'd rather have clean hands" ^0^ ---------------- "Always Bring A Towel" - Towelie, South Park. ^0^
That she is ^_^

Of course, I'm sure any other high-alchohol content fluid would work... pitbulllady

Sounds nice. Yeah, I doubt much pentrates that coat. And does, it isn't moving in a hurry. I am curious though, how did you manage to swing washing wolves? (I assume they're from some sort of zoo?)
Oh yeah. The more random and irrevalvent, the more it sticks in my brain.^-^ For example, did you know that the average adult male human's liver is the size of (an American) football?
((shrug)) I dunno. I don't even chew gum. Girls magzines from the dawn of the early twentith century?

The wolves were actually a pack that I kept as part of my degree studies in comparitive canine behavior, comparing wild with feral canines and domestic canines. I had the wolf pack, plus New Guinea Singing Dogs(a small Dingo from New Guinea), Carolina Dogs(North America's version of the Dingo), Japanese Akita Inus, and of course, American Pit Bull Terriers, one of the most man-made and domestic breeds there is. Of those, the Akitas were the most difficult to live with, even though they are a domesticated(and I use that term loosely here)breed. pitbulllady
