It is cute, but PLEASE excuse my ignorance and explain to me exactly what an "Oekaki" is! I see that listed as a category on DA, but I couldn't figure out what it meant, even looking at the uploads. What makes an Oekaki different from other forms of art, digital or otherwise?

Japanese I think....like Hi-Cou.....even I didn't know what that was at first....
Oekaki is a message board system that revolves around computer art created by the local art program.
Oekaki is Japanese for "scribble" or "doodle"

What makes an Oekaki different from other forms of art, digital or otherwise? pitbulllady I've been wondering that too - but what I do know is that they're usually relatively small, and have been drawn relatively quickly on a certain paint program. And I know that they're entirely digital art, not a coloured version of a scanned on picture, or a photo manipulation.
