Sorry, it's not Randall-related, or even M.I.-related, though, but you gotta go where the muses drag you, know what I mean? This story was just what popped into my red head. Writing doesn't come as easily as art, inspiration-wise, so I have to go with what I have at the time. For those of you who are Foster's fans, perhaps you'll enjoy it. www.fanfiction.net/s/2507419/1/pitbulllady

Interesting start- you've hit Wilt's personality on the head! Good description and a nice pace, too, very enjoyable.

Thanks-I waited awhile before starting it so I'd be able to watch the show enough to really get the characters' personalities down right. I hate it when people make the characters so out-of-character, and so many of the Foster's fanfics portray Wilt as this very angsty, "dark', serious individual who's not very happy or positive at all. Perhaps there WAS a time in his past, after so many bad things happened to him, that he actually was like that-angry, bitter, resentful-but he somehow learned to overcome it, and for the most part, put it behind him and move on, which makes him a really admirable character. The main sign that he has been through some tough time, emotionally, though, is his refusal to talk about what happened, and his strong aversion to being abandoned or anyone else being abandoned.
Randall could really benefit from spending time with Wilt, you know?

*waves dismissively* Aw, it's okay that it's not Randall-related -- I completely understand what you mean, by sometimes needing to let your muses drag you. As for the story itself, what you've got so far is VERY promising! You inserted just the right amount of description and exposition, the characterizations are pretty much right-on, and like Cool mentioned, it's very well-paced. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes (particularly in regards to how you handle the hints of "Wilt/Frankie 'fluffiness'", since that has the potential to be very sweetly and movingly written, despite the initial awkwardness that I'm pretty sure will result)! ;D ~Light Rises

Chapter Two is now up; this is where "The Incredibles" tie-ins occur.
