The New Deal allows Pixar to make sequels of their films if they want to, but Disney cannot do so, although they can use the characters in books, games, etc. Now, it waits to be seen if they are interested in a sequel to "Monsters, Inc.", but apparently, sequels are not required by the New Deal. Just saw that on Animated-News.com.
