I was just thinking about the work-out scheme thing that Sullivan and Wazowski do before they go to MI in the morning, and I just remembered Sullivan's radio alarm. I can't remember exactly what it says, but it goes along the lines of it being a balmy (insert temperature here), and it being pleasant for reptiles/lizard-monsters/something like that. Now, I know they might've been just saying that to make the radio station seem unpredujiced towards lizard-monsters, but what if Pixar were trying to make the point that yes, Randall's not the only one of his kind in the city, but is the only one at MI?

Yep they DO prove that point. Randall's the only reptilian Scarer in the city. I had said this before. I don't know why Pixar didn't think of a sequel. I mean....Randall was in a prejudice world. That SHOULD be enough...... Perhaps.....perhaps Pixar.....was trying to show something more than just entertainment. Maybe......maybe they were showing glimpses of the cruel world....for both.....
Seventy years radio has been in the Monster World.....I wouldn't put it past them to make prejudice, or sound like they aren't, remarks about Reptiles.... They can't let it go....

It's NOT a radio, guys! It's MIKE, being a wise-@$$ as usual, remember? I doubt seriously that Mike would even know what the outside temperature was, so he most likely made that up-just like he made up so many other things. Heck, if Mike Wazowski yelled "FIRE!", and I saw smoke, I STILL wouldn't believe him! That eyeball has no credibility with ME! Mike says it's 65 degrees, which is TOO low for a true reptile, by the way-most reptiles would barely be able to move at that temperature(their bodies are the same temperature as their surroundings, since reptiles, UNLIKE Randall, are ectothermic), and many would be risking serious digestive and respiratory organ failure if exposed to that temp for long. PLUS, it's NOVEMBER; even here in the Deep South, 65 degrees would be warm for a November morning. I would expect temps like that in June. Our weather people on tv may not be totally acurate, but I'd trust them far more than Mike to tell me the forecast!

Yes but he was talking OVER it. Being a smart....guy...about immitating someone who is ACTUALLY IMPORTANT...
Believe me....who CAN actually predict the weather?

I didn't get the impression that Mike was talking over the radio at all, but that HE was the one actually doing the entire "broadcast", to lead up to the moment when he blasts Sulley with that air horn, having failed to wake him with the fake radio broadcast. It certainly sounds like Mike's voice all along.

Hmm perhaps.... Then you can spot Wazowski's prejudice that way.

It always sounded to me as though he was talking over the radio, but I wasn't sure, espiecially since I haven't seen the film for quite a while. So...why would Mike say it was nice weather for reptiles in particular? I mean, if he wanted to be horrible he could've used certain adjectives before the word 'reptile' to make his opinions clear. Or maybe he said what he said just as a general sort of thing.

I guess that the fact that the fact is pretty much unknown made the whole routine "seem" a little funnier.
