Just thought I'd post about this. I'm sure PBL will like hearing about it. Anyway, the convention(which is an anime convention so it's not even a reptile convention or anything) I went to this past weekend is pretty snake friendly considering that there was a photo booth where you could have your picture taken with one of the photographer's 3 snakes. I wish I had known about it before the con ended or I would have had my picture taken with one of the snakes while I was in costume. Also, snakes were really allowed anywhere in the convention because even in the Dealer's Room someone had a snake with her. A yellow anaconda. I didn't take this picture but I can tell it was taken in the Dealer's Room because of the merchandise in the background of the picture....and the Dealer's Room is always pretty crowded with lots of people so if they allow snakes in there, I'm pretty sure they allow them anywhere at the con. fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/292647_10150816618766781_299553062_n.jpg

That's a beautiful Yellow Anaconda-looks a lot like mine. Just consider yourself fortunate that in Canada you can still travel from place to place with snakes like this; in the US, crossing a state line with a Yellow Anaconda is a Federal felony now and many states and cities have banned ALL constrictor snakes from Corn Snakes on up altogether. So much for "home of the brave, land of the free".

It's nice that you can see these snakes even in really crowded places that aren't even a convention about reptiles.
