Let's face facts, for a good while now, Hollywood has been making movies based on books....and now they're shifting to old cartoons. The last time I went to see a movie, they had two trailers with one for a Yogi Bear movie and one for a Smurfs movie. Now, I can see a Yogi Bear movie being possible but a Smurfs? That is one I just can't see happening although you want to know the shocking thing about that Yogi Bear movie?
Guess who's voicing Boo Boo?
I swear that we're going to get some shock in hearing this but...it's Justin Timberlake and to my surprise, he can actually pull the voice off!
You got to admit that Timberlake does a pretty good Boo Boo....Dan Akryod as Yogi? Well, at least he doesn't do half bad really. But back to on topic here, is Hollywood running out of ideas, at least if they base alot of films on old cartoons, people are more likely to know that as compared to a book that chances are very few people had read, let alone knew existed.

Not even T.J. Miller can get me to see this movie and he's one of my celebrity crushes. I'm not fond of live-action kids movies and I'm especially not fond of live-action remakes of cartoons, which are very popular as of recent. Like you've already said, Smurfs, which has an...interesting cast, to say the least. And lets not talking about the Fairly Oddparents movie. *shivers* But I do have to say, Timberlake and Akroyd do some pretty good voice acting. Maybe it's just because my Yogi Bear impersonation always comes out sounding like Borat. Hollywood has always had remakes and movies based off of books/games/TV, but the increase in the past decade got me worried for a while to. Just remember that there still are fresh, original ideas out there

Just remember that there still are fresh, original ideas out there I had read about a Fairly Oddparents movie and heard that Drake Bell was playing Timmy...dear lord, the creators are killing their creation! Well, okay, Akroyd does well but Timberlake was considered a shock because he's only voiced in one of the Shrek films...and that's about it, he really doesn't have any other voicing experience and I'm not the only shocked one either actually. In fact, the director of the film actually didn't want to cast him because he was worried of how Timberlake would do the voice! I'm not bothered by remakes too much just as long as the remake doesn't ruin the franchise which for some films, well, that's not too hard to do in some cases but we'll see with what the future holds for Yogi Bear and the Smurfs.

No way D: I could understand those people voicing younger characters, but a teen playing as a ten year old is just weird to me. I lol'd at the Borat thing, Bampot xD
