I faved it too, but I didn't have time last night to comment on how great those expressions were, since I was late getting in and had to set up a new snake in his new home after picking up a lovely Suriname Boa from a Craig's List ad.

I commented and faved, but you already know that.
PBL: That sounds cool. (And on another just curious note- how many pets do you have- you know how many snakes/reptiles and others now? Just me being nosy. Does it get difficult?)
(I'm kind of thinking of getting some reptiles when I get my own place/real job etc.)
I hear Geckos are the best starter reptiles really- and someone I knew in my work placement she had two, and they were pretty cute too.)

At the risk of going off-topic, I'm also interested in what reptiles you keep, especially what boids (aka boas and pythons). ;D

At the risk of going off-topic, I'm also interested in what reptiles you keep, especially what boids (aka boas and pythons). ;D Currently I have five adult Water Snakes representing 4 different species, five baby Water Snakes of 2 different species, one Black Rat Snake, one "Greenish"(mutt) Rat Snake, five normal Corn Snakes, one checkered Garter Snake, 1 Jungle Carpet Python, 1 Spotted Python, 1 Savu Python, 1 Eastern King Snake, 1 Indian Rat Snake(not related to American Rat Snakes at all, but to our Coachwhips), 6 Colombian Boa Constrictors ranging in size from two to eight+ feet, 3 Colombian x Surinam Boas, and one pure Surinam Boa. The snake population goes up in the summer, when I catch many local native snakes, and goes down in fall, when I release most of said local native snakes. I don't even know how many tarantulas and other arachnids I have, honestly. Six outside dogs, five indoor cats round out the lot. Two of the female Boas are pregnant, so that population is likely to dramatically increase some time around April-May. And MG, it depends on which species of Gecko you're talking about as to whether they are good "beginner" species. Cresteds are the easiest to keep since they don't require special lighting and will eat a commercially-available diet, but the familiar Day Geckoes(the bright green ones known to us Yanks as the "Geico Gecko") are very difficult to keep. Others, like Tokays, are ferocious biters, and most Geckoes, especially males, can at times out-do a Chihuahua when it comes to noise volume! I just prefer reptiles that DON'T bark and scream! pitbulllady

Wow! That IS quite a few pets, even ignoring the arachnids you were unable to count! And I agree, pitbulllady; I like snakes in that they aren't as noisy as other animals, except of course when they're scared.
