I wrote my letter to Pixar, refering to Wikipedia as my source of information about a sequel (so it doesn't look like one person doing this). But if you get discouraged about what one fan can do, read this entry.
If Bjo had not worked to save Star Trek for a third season, there would not have been a third season. That would have meant not enough episodes for syndication. That would have meant no new fans, no animated series, no books, no movies, no spin-off series...one of the iconic entertainment success stories of history would just be a question on Trivial Pursuit, if even that.
