I finished this one today, again, during monitoring of testing, based on a thumbnail I made on a Post-It note pad yesterday. It started out initially to be a fun piece, emphasising Randall's ability to multi-task like nobody's business, but as it progressed, the piece became more and more sombre in tone, and it suddenly occured to me what this was-a moment captured during what might have been Randall's last return home, from work. The Scream Extractor is mostly finished, and he's worn out from two years of little sleep, no social life or love life whatsoever, of Waternoose breathing down his back...he's full of hope that this thing will finally grant him the respect and admiration and fame and fortune he's always wanted, but still has plenty of doubts that it will work, even though it HAS to, or that his boss will deliver on HIS end of the bargain. Most of all, he's relieved that it's almost over, that he can finally get some SLEEP. Sadly, what Randall thinks is that soothing light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, is, to paraphrase Metallica's "No-Leaf Clover", "just a freight train comin' his way." I named this piece "November Rain", after the Guns 'N Roses song of the same title, since the events of the movie, Monsters, Inc., take place in early November. See if you can spot a few other Pixar references in this pic. pitbulllady

No, that's supposed to be celery, or whatever equivalent they have in the Monster World. Yep, you caught the box with the "Gusteau's" label...anything else? pitbulllady

I think the colored leaf is significant but I can't think how right now 0_0 Yes, those are overgrown bushes to the sides of the door stoop. Not much time for yard work when you're tied up in the basement of some huge factory, slaving over a machine that wasn't even your idea in the first place. And yes, you spotted the number of the CalArts Animation Room on the mailbox, but that's not "Ionic" on the bag. Look closely(this pic is on DA, by the way, so you can see more detail with it full-sized), and you'll see that it actually says, "Tony's Grossery" on the shopping bag. Ah, yes, the leaf...remember the trees lining the sidewalks as Eyeball and Fur Rug walked to work? pitbulllady

TONY'S...now I see it...Mistook that for an I, when the underside was really just a shadow effect ^_^ Oh yeah....fall leaves kinda 0_0 Though makes me wonder if Randall would ever be near THEIR place 0_0 Why would trees with color-changing leaves be limited to just growing on the street where Mike and Sulley lived? Heck, they change color HERE, too. That was just one of the clues in the movie that it was in November, that's all. It's not supposed to mean that Randall lived anywhere near that same street; it just ties in with that scene because of the trees. pitbulllady

Oh another amazing drawing and I love the casual look of the picture. Some very cool references you put in there! And now we all know instantly where Randall does his grocery shopping.
