I've never been this worried my whole life. Noodle, my Chihuahua, slipped out of her collar last night at midnight. I've done everything I can think of. I put up fliers, offered a cash reward, called radio stations to announce her missing, alerted the local pet shelter, and put up online bulletins. I've been door-to-door and talked to everyone I've seen on the street. I've walked around town all day. I decided to get on the internet as a distraction from worrying, but I just can't help but express my worry. I've never really lost a pet before. Noodle has ran away, but it was always during the day and we've always been able to get her home within the day. This will be the second night without her and my second night without sleep. I just can't sleep knowing that she could be dead or worse. I just can't sit still knowing that she's somewhere out there. She's my baby. She's never ever spent a night alone, let alone on the streets. I've looked everywhere. Every single crack and corner of this town. My greatest fear is that she ran as far as the woods. Just last week there was a report of a wolf pack (they're not native here, so everyone heard about it) running around. I'm so worried.

Though the odds are tough Beelz, I've had a similiar experience... My pet pal Cotton, cat, white, was at first a stray kitten. Grew up with him and we've been best pals eversince. I remember he use to find ways to get out of the house, evidently to see his fellow strays, friends, and a rather mysterious black cat. Anyway...one time he got out, and we searched all over. Could'nt find him. I was worried of course. Cotton was my first pet and bud and I couldn't think of him not bein around. Hours passed by and still, nothing. Then I hear this scratching noise and a slight mew. I open up the backdoor and there's Cotton, looking up at me, or should I say "waiting for me to open the dang door" heh heh.... Although I'm unsure if your Chihuahua was a stray.....this could apply to any pet who've you got a connection to. Cotton came back, from what my mom said, because he knows he has a place where he's loved and "has it good". I think your Noodle might've just gotten out by excitement and might be looking for you too. Who knows, might be hearing his howl outside your door soon ^_^

Thanks :3
She showed up around 12:50 AM after being gone for a little over 24 hours. She smelt and was thirsty. We don't know if she fell asleep some place and then came back or if someone had her and dropped her off anonymously.
I wouldn't have worried as much if she was originally a stay. Noodle has had a home all her life. She slept in my bed and always had food in her dish. She's what some people would call "spoiled rotten" by me. She seemed very very happy to be home. She may have gotten lost.
My old cat princess used to find ways out of our house too. We didn't worry much since she could always take care of herself. She even lives outside now, like all of our cats. It took me forever to finally let Todd stay outside. It worried me so much. He just lays out on the back porch, but he likes to have the chance to hunt. Cats are such restless creatures.

^_^
She did? Wow...my powers cease to amaze me heheh, glad she did ^_^
True true...though if she learned routes home as it were, if she ever got out, she might find her way back easier.
Aren't they? Hehehe. Have three myself ^0^ And there are several strays out here too, one brave enough to sleep right beside the door ^_^
