I have seen people post frames of movies on this site, so I know it is possible (though I don't know how to do it). Could someone post a picture of Ms. Flint, showing her whole body? I know there are a couple scenes in the movie which show this, but they only last a split-second and I can never "grok" them.

Celia (my choice) is definitely in the lead. What would happen if she cut her "hair"? Would it regenerate? Just heal that way? Unless she was kidding, she can't feel them...that would HURT! Pity...seeing through them would give her depth perception.

That is a spoof of the "no animals were harmed..." line in Westerns and stuff. Yeah, in one sense the monsters as people are actors (complete with blooper clips) but as characters, they were different. In the movie Randall was harmed, even if his "actor" goes and has a brewski with Sully's actor after the filming.

Interesting that they took the trouble to synchronize the lips of the characters but did not change the signs, using subtitles instead.

If I were well enough to write fanfic, I am too honest to skip school or work.

Do you realize that, including this one, we have 24 posts on two threads concerning three seconds of the film? :-)

Mike and Sully, who were hiding with Boo IIRC. When he suddenly stops. Maybe it was just Sully and Boo, I will have to review the movie when I get the chance. Probably middle of next month.

It makes you think that he has found M&S.

Interesting question. Alan Alda's character in M.A.S.H. once had a cold and he "sneezed" very realistically. On the other hand, there are a number of ways to make someone sneeze, and maybe they did that.

What happens to people like Randall, if he survives? Will he realistically change, or will he just become even more bitter? We all want to see him turn over a new leaf, I know, but is that credible?

B.S. in Astronomy quibble: The Barringer Crate is the one in Arizona, formed in geologically recent times. The "biggie" was the Chixculub one off the Yucatan.

I just borrowed THE NEW DINOSAURS by Dixon (great book, BTW). It has a small speculation on how dinosaurs might have evolved intelligence. It points out that cold-bloodedness is likely not compatible with intelligence. It also points out that most intelligent dinosaurs in science fiction are villainous, because of their cold-blooded natures (not that warm-bloodedness stopped the Nazis, of course), and so are implausible. But we know Randall was actually warm-blooded! Interesting observation.
