What states are on the schedulted tour? Anything in the South? I'd like to meet the person who created this wonderful board for all of us, and y'all Canadians are welcome to come down and visit, too, if you don't mind the mosquitoes and the humidity and people who don't know how to drive!

Well, she was scheduled to go on Saturday, but because there was a problem with her cousins being on her Auntie's passport, which isn't allowed in America, the trip's been delayed until tomorrow. She's going for two weeks, but exactly where in America she's going I'm not entirely sure. I know that, at some point, she's going to LA, and where she's staying is outside of LA, in the middle of nowhere, but that's all I really know. ;D

Shoot...that's all the way on the other side of CONTINENT from me! I think Light Rises in in SoCal, though, so maybe she could get to meet her. Most of the rest of us North Americans are either on the East coast, in the middle of the country or in a whole different country altogether, Canada.

Well, I pretty much have no idea when it comes to American geography, so I can't really say where she's going. Also, I don't remember the other place names. I think it was a three-syllable word, but that's it. ;D

Not if she's going to the West coast, Sean. I assume that by "LA", it's meant Los Angeles, which is of course in California. You and I are on the East Coast, in Maryland and South Carolina, respectively.

I hated geography. I still don't know capitals...

Geography was one of my best subjects. ;D I'd like to take this opportunity to thank "Animaniacs" for teaching me songs I have never forgotten, which helped me remember all the state capitals and where all the nations of the world are.

LOL! Oh my gosh! They totally made me remember my continents! Great minds remember alike, Mira! * What is Zelda's country of origin? Oh gosh...it's been my dream to visit the south. *Hops on plane and invades PitbullLady's home* Don't worry, I'll bring coleslaw! EEK! Mosquitoes! *pulls on rubber suit* Is it really - the smaller towns at least - the kind of thing portrayed by movies such as Fried Green Tomatoes and the Ladykillers? Woot guys, feel free to show up at my door anytime

Nope, NOBODY ever talks like those people in those movies here! I don't even live in a town; I'm waaaay out in the "boonies", and homes are pretty much spread out. Much of the acreage around here is either farmland, cattle pasture, or woods or swamp. There aren't any ladies' groups that get together and cook or sew or anything, since most of the women either work out of the home to support their families or work on the farm and go to NASCAR events with their husbands on weekends. NASCAR is THE sport in the South. Sadly, there are lots of problems. Lack of employment opps have made most people move away to the cities, and the old people that have stayed behind are dying off. The illegal drug trade, especially crystal meth, is a horrible problem here, to the point that it is dangerous to walk anywhere, because these people will kill you without thinking twice if they think you have anything on you that they can sell to buy more drugs or supplies to make their own meth. There are lot of abandoned houses which the drug dealers hang out in. So, no-it's not the quaint little ideal setting the movies show, nor is it "Deliverance". Still, this is the only sort of place where I can have several large dogs, since most towns limit the number of animals someone can keep or what kind. Catahoulas just are not suited for urban environments.

Zelda comes from England, as do I, and I think I've remembered where she's staying for most of her holiday- the Nevada Desert. I actually know Zelda personally- we go to school together- so I'm sure the two of us would like to travel around America and Canada, visiting you all! ;D
