Now you've got me thinking along the lines of Beowulf.

Congrats Avis. You are correct. The dragon supposebly killed by Beowulf.
Sadly he is dead.... But...not by Beowulf's hand....

And they buried their lord, the ring-giver, in the cavern of the ship...
Or something like that---I can't remember the exact lines.
You've got to love the massive amount of calcs in the oldest writings. 'Gravesgrasp', 'earthdeep', 'middle-earth' and 'gold-shone'.
EDIT: Found the correct inscription. "Then they laid down the ruler they had loved, the ring-giver, in the hollow of the ship..."
That's better. And the following lines, I love these.
Bealo-cwealm hafad fela feorh-cynna ford onsended...

It's like a sort of take-off from Beowulf, set in the modern day. ;D

Cool.........
American's tend to take great classics and turn them into complete slop. Haven't you ever seen an American film based on a great work turn out to be crudy?

Yeah, to be completely honest, I know EXACTLY what you mean. And the stereotypical American that we have over here is not improved by a very deranged English teacher we have in our school who's American and who has goes at us for not saying hello to her in the corridor...But I'm sure not all Americans are like that. ;D

So, purposefully, I shouted HI to her when I passed by her today. She gave me a very weird look. ;D
