Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a plague in Equatorial Guinea that I have to attend.

Hey, I just noticed a new feature - the little "Karma" count underneath one's "location" (in the info under your avatar). I see some people already have "+1" or "-1" already. That's so cool! ;D
How do you change your karma? Or do other people do it for you?

Personally, I don't like the idea. There's a discussion in the section two points down.

We can have some kind of a vote as to whether or not we should keep it.

I'll be honest-I don't like it. There will always be lurkers who we don't know, who never post, but who will "smite" members just to make them wonder which one of their "friends" is "voting" against them. That's a good way to turn people against each other. I can see how, on really big forums, with lots of member posting, how this could be useful in finding out who the trouble-makers are, since in that sort of scenario, you will always have at least one person who is constantly flaming everyone else, posting spam, and generally stirring up trouble, and it's sorta a good way to find out who they are, since their "Karma" rating would be pretty low. HOWEVER, it's also a good way for one individual to make someone else look bad, by constantly "smiting" them, and making them have a low rating. This system was in effect, as I said, on the "Never Forgotten" Foster's board that Neithersparky set up, and someone had given HER a "-3" rating, and SHE created the board! There are only a few people who are regular posters, but lots of lurkers, so we don't know who did it, or why. She just did away with the system altogether, realizing that it was a good way for people to get their feelings hurt and start blaming others, and that this would create all manner of problems.

Okay, no worries people- I will set up a poll, so everyone can vote anonymously. Getting rid of it is easy enough, so if that's what you guys want, that's what you get.

Woah - wait - Karma? Eep! Haha, oh dear. I'm almost afraid to look at mine! I have mixed feelings about it, personally. I agree with Pitbull, but It may work if we are agreeable.

Hi. I am a friend of LGBB (known to me as Laura). Have recently taken some photos of Zelda (pointy face, brown wavy hair) (original creator of this board i believe), Myself (blonde one), someone who doesn't come on here much but is known as Slorg Queen (brown hair tied back in a short ponytail), and one other friend of ours. This is part of our Media Studies GCSE coursework, these photos were taken with the intention of being on the front cover of a music magazine. Would love to hear your opinions, i know you are all arty people, from what Laura has told me anyway. My photos are on my DA account:- starcavity.deviantart.com. Thanks. starcavity x
