Good good- I LOVE constructive ciritism, simply because the main reason I post my stories is to recieve constructive critism that should hopefully help me improve, y'know, and I'm always looking to improve my writing. ;D Yeah, I used to ask for that alot too, when I first started writing. And I still like to recieve contructive criticism, because there's always room for improvement, not matter how good you seem to be as a writer. I also read ALOT (the bookworm I am ;D), so I take tips from how the authors compose a sentence and small things that I think might help me in my own writing. I also take out new, useful words that I've seen in a book and try using it in my own stories, also. It's things like that that have helped me improve also. But, as they say, practice makes perfect! Glad to help.

Not me....
I'd rather like to...."mature" my writing myself.
I do enjoy hearing what people like in my stories ^_^ And I really love when a...."character" gets praise ^_^
I guess....I don't have a problem with opinions....but I just want to see where my writing takes me....
You can all see from Second-Hand to Two of A Kind how I've improved.... Though the stories DO have connections with each other (like Randolph's....character in Second-Hand will be explained in Two of A Kind's sequel), I have improved, thanks to your guy's encouragement ^_^

Wow, you could have been describing me in that paragraph! I'm a bookworm, draw ideas from the way other authors write, and absolutely love constructive critisism (both giving it and receiving it). ;D

It's really weird- I used to read SO much, but now I find more time for writing than reading. I just enjoy it more. ;D

It's vice-versa, for me; I spend all of my time reading, and now matter how hard I try, I never seem to have enough time to write anything but the stuff for school. And every time I do find time to write something on my own, I almost always have a killer case of writer's block. Well, at least I've written some awesome essays.

Weird. ^_^ You and me have something in common then. hehe. I don't have as much time as I would like to put all my fan fic/story ideas on paper or the computer. But I'm glad to have SOME amount of time to do so - even if it's shorter than I would have liked (like my crossover fic, I would have liked to lengthen it more, but with time constraints and writer's block it's hard to do it the way I want).

Lol, you and me both. It can be very easy for me to generate ideas and then visualize them, but it's getting them all written down somewhere at some point that gets to be the problem. The hardest thing for me is getting started (not just at the beginning of a story, but at the beginning of every writing session), and the fact that I usually write at the speed of molasis inching down a five degree incline doesn't help things much, either. Man, I LOVE reading, especially novels...although I haven't read for pleasure as much as I'd like to lately ( Note-to-Self: Must fix that). And yeah, I always ask for constructive criticism, too -- even though it's not necessarily something I want to hear, lol. But I know it's good for me, and it's a good way to develop a thick skin, so I take it anyway. ~Light Rises

Yeah, I don't particularily like to hear it, but as you've said, it's good for you and good for developing thick skin. LOL.

The teachers at my school don't really bother with detailed constructive critism because they've got so many students to teach, which is why I post on FF.net and DA, now. Except...does anyone know how to post a new chapter on DA? Or is it just a new deviant?
