I've a feeling they moved, and last time they moved it took me a couple months to find out where, since they don't think to contact the other members and inform them of the move Anyone have a clue where they may be?

Yeah me too. I was wondering why I couldn't get on. Something about accounts.

There is a possibility that they moved...AGAIN...but that's not what I think has happened. When I attented the Cars premier with Dash and Toxxicfox, he told me that the Admin/group owner is VERY lax about maintaining the site, and usually does not even check up on it for months at a time. Unlike a Proboards forum, that is NOT a free board; the Admin has to PAY for it, either monthly or every six months, and he told me that she'd been late before, almost letting it get shut down. He said it would not surprise him one bit if the board eventually did get shut down because of non-payment of fees, and I would guess that is what has happened.
I do have Dash's cell phone(he's a Moderator, by the way) number, but I do not want to bug him unless it's necessary, but if the site isn't up within a couple more days I will call and find out if he knows anything. If the site has moved, perhaps he, as a Mod, can at least direct us to the new one, but if it's down because the Admin/owner has not paid for it, there's nothing he can do, either.
Another concern he had was that the Admin herself("Kenai") would take it down because of some members' childish behavior, and because there ARE some members who are less than the required 13-year-old minimum age, but have lied to get on the board. FONY, you can probably figure out which ones I'm talking about. If he host site finds out, they will take a board down.

Are there any indications that the site is already down?

Are there any indications that the site is already down? Nope, just that same thing that was there yesterday, which gives no indications at all other than to say that if you are the owner of this site, please contact the host ASAP, so that makes me think it's money-related. pitbulllady

OK, I just got a PM from "Dash" through my account over on Animated-News.com. The story that the Admin is telling all the mods is that there is a problem with the server, and they're trying to fix it. Still, as I said earlier, HE believes that the bill simply has not been paid. If that's the case, he is hoping that she will let him buy out her files and reopen the site, with more features. He has a contingency plan to put into effect one way or the other, so as not to let that community die. This kid impresses me, as he's one of those who always has a "Plan B"...and a "Plan C", etc. In any case, I'll be keeping in touch with him, and I will let y'all know as soon as I find out anything.

Holy cow, so did I! Wow. It's been over a year since I posted anything on this particular board. I can't believe it. Pitbulllady & I exchanged PMS over IMDb (you're right PBL-that site's rubbish at letting you know when you have a PM! I had to randomly check my box to even know that you'd sent a response). She explained the situation to me. I had a feeling it might be something like that... I sorta got some of my Cars questions answered through the IMDb while Luxo's been gone. But I hope it gets back up, or made into a new board, soon.

I'd hate to have to depend on IMDb to communicate, especially since the forums there are like, Troll Central, this time of year with all the kiddies out of school and bored! I don't even post on the Cars forum there; it's so bad. Every other post is like, "This movey sux" or "Don't Go See This Movie" or "Cars is Racist", that sort of stuff. There's this one guy who's been on several times, who absolutely HATES anything to do with the South, or rednecks, or Country music or NASCAR and has been trying to get people to avoid seeing this movie because Larry the Cable Guy has a speaking part in it! So, I guess the Bogg's Board is gonna be the only general Pixar discussion around for awhile.

Yeah, I really don't like the IMDb boards either. The site is invaluable to me as far as getting information about movies/actors/actresses and such, but the boards? Horrible! Every idiot in the world seems to register just to post utter nonsense all over them. Constant spammy traffic and....UGH. I don't know why I even use them. ;D Plus it drives me crazy---there's a separate board on IMDb for EVERY movie, episode, & person ever! There's no way I could look at all the ones I like. And hi Sean! I missed you.

*sratched head* I don't have a clue who's Luxo, but I think it's horrible what they say about "Cars." I like that movie, it's really funny.
