Hello there, all. Here is my question.
No doubt Beboots knows what I'm talking about. That delicious blend of squeaky cheese curds, gravy and french fries....mmm... It's a pretty popular dish here in the Great White North. It is actually quite delicous, despite the nasty sound of it. So I'm curious - do you guys have it down there in the States and in Britain? If not...your poor dear bellies. So neglected by Canadian delicacies. ;D

...Poutine...? Lol! Nope, we don't have it. Cheese curds, gravy, and french fries...? Sounds interesting, to say the least! ;D

Poutine! XD Ah, my love. I've been addicted to it ever since my grade 9 trip to old Québec City. I was wary at first, but then we went to a chain restaurant (only in Québec) that specialized in it... and fell in love. I've never eaten poutine as good as what's made in the east over here in Alberta (the ones we sell in the cafeteria use grated cheese and artificial gravy mix, but are still decent, especially when you're hungry), but I have had decent ones at the Cheese Factory in downtown Edmonton (which is a Ukranian restaurant, oddly enough). ^_^ I love cheese curds.
Of course, poutine is, in all likelyhood, extremely bad for your health -deep fried, smothered in gravy... But it's so delicious!!! (how the heck do I manage to stay so slim?)

Ooooh. Where do you get your Poutine (like from a fast food place), I'm having trouble finding the good stuff.

I'm forced to get it from my school cafeteria (it's not the best), but enjoy the stuff from the Cheese Factory (which is actually a rather nice restaurant - one of those sit down and order ones, but with a cheese-making facility on-premises). However, you can really just buy one where-ever people sell fries, usually (ski resorts usually have them in their cafeterias).
