Uh...this is just a small short story I wrote a little while ago. Enjoy it!
Connection on Dissection
Randall could tell something was up with Kelly when she came over to his apartment. She usually does that when she is mad about something.
“What’s the matter?” Randall asked as Kelly
sat on the couch. Kelly frowned at him.
“Remember that science lab a few miles away from Monsters Inc.?”
Randall nodded.
“Well,” Kelly began to twitch nervously. “I sort of
went in without anyone noticing and I...I freed some torogs.”
(Torogs are amphibian creatures like frogs in the human world.)
Randall frowned. “You stole the torogs?” “I didn’t stole them! I liberated them! The lab was going to do dissection on them.” Kelly sighed. “But then the monsters who worked in the lab caught me and threatened to call the police if I did another stunt like that, and they took the torogs back!” Randall then got mad. If anyone think they are
going to talk like that to his girlfriend, they got another thing coming!
“Wait right here,” he told her, going out the door.
“Where are you going?” Kelly asked.
“I’m going to go over to that lab, and talk to the manager!” Randall said.
“Wait one moment,” Kelly stopped him. “The manager is a female reptile. If you and her are sitting in the cafeteria with coffee, that means she is obsessed with you!”
Randall frowned. “How do you know?”
Kelly shrugged. “I’m a girl. I know things.”
At the cafeteria in the lab, Randall laughed nervously as he sat down at a table. A yellow female reptile sat across him.
“Something wrong?” She asked.
“Nah,” Randall said. “It’s just that...we are in the cafeteria having...coffee.” He laughed a
little and cleared his throat.
“Well...about Kelly, she really loves all the creatures living here and...well she usually wants to save
them all. You know how some torogs and other creatures have their necks broken when they need to kill them and that they are still alive when their necks are broken? No, I guess you don't.”
The female reptile nodded. “Well, after a few
complaints from other monsters, I decided to ban dissection from this lab.” She sighed. “Can you believe all those creatures rights activists out there?”
“Oh,” Randall smiled. “Okay then, I better get going.” He got up and started to leave when the
yellow reptile said,
“Would you like to go out with me sometime?”
Randall whirled around, giving her a shocked
look.
“Excuse me?!”
The reptile frowned.
“That...that just
came out of nowhere. Sorry.” She left. Randall stood there
with his mouth open. He put his back against the wall. He gulped.
“Okay, now what do I do? Come on, I need a sign.”
He paused.
“A biblical sign! A burning bush, parting of the seas, or
a swarm of locusts, I don’t care what!” He then heard a small,
“Gribbet. Grrribbet.”
He looked down and saw a small white
torog with red spots. The torog looked like a normal frog in the human world, except it had three eyes and different spots and colors. Curious, Randall walked to one corner and paused.
There were millions of gribbiting torogs that had different colors
and different colored spots.
Randall’s mouth fell open.
“Oh my gosh!”
He ran the other way and out the door.
Kelly came from around the corner, leading the torogs away.
“Go on! Come on little darlings, off you go. Be free!”
THE END.
So what do you think?
